Ever thought of why love is far too unstable?
Thinking is based on just guesses. But in being there's plenty to find out why.

I would have to say that destruction is the one true element. Not to be all dark and depressing but, before there was anything there was nothing and it is destruction that returns us to that state of oblivion. All the elements, earth, air, fire and water in some way are destructive. Yes, they can support life and farther it but the amount of damage they do is unrivaled by the amount of healing they do. Unless paired with spirit. Earth quakes, tsunamis, tornadoes, volcanoes, and even without those catastrophes everything returns to the state of thoughtless existence because of time.

That our entire existance is based on thestuction is a theory I'd have to disagree with. To call the forces of nature destructive is a bit misleading. As Aristotle said "Nature does nothing uselessly."
And then again, Cassiel. How do we know that there was nothing?

I never said they did things uselessly. Destruction is not useless, it creates space for new life. And, I can't argue with the statement about not knowing if there ever was nothing for obvious reasons. But it just makes sense. It wouldn't be misleading to say that elements are destructive because the undeniable proof is all around us. I simply stated that their destructive force was much greater when compared on a time line. Example: Earth
Earthquake in Haiti took a few mins to kill hundreds and demolish civilization. Time it takes to grow medicinal herbs, a few weeks provided that there is enough rainfall and sunlight.

On element above all? well that would have to be Ain Soph or the nothingness, from it all spawned, from dark to light, and if one were to follow the various emanations of existence all can be traced back to the nothingness.
Love in itself is not a element, rather it is a drive, love is actually very stable, but that is if it is actual love and not just a worldly concept or understanding of love, for anyone who is interested in grasping love and not just the illusion of love i recommend learning about loving self for self is nothing but the lowest emanation of the universe around us.

It just still doesn't make sence to me. That destruction should be the one element. But just so that I am completely sure, that I understand; you say that destruction is the element above all because it makes room for renewal?

maybe the love being referred to here is more related to the compassion for all things which is a part of the Buddhists path to enlightenment, which would be more of a stable virtue. but i agree that love is to abstract of a concept to be an element. i would like to propose that the element that eludes us in this post may be the element of consciousness, or awareness of existence? although this may be as abstract as the concept of love it is much less unstable for it has to do with pure awareness, a universal awareness that leads to the creation of the parts of the whole. this may be another way of stating the element of spirit to some but i would like to make the distinction that this element i propose is not a being as much as an entelechy, a force of realizing potentiality hence creating the other elements?

All elements must come from something. There is no one true element, but instead the one who created it. What is inside him gave him the ability. Yet his soul needed a body, his mind needed a brain, and his energy needed his blood. No mere mortal can honestly figure out what created the Creator.

All elements are part of a greater whole. They are just divided so that we can better understand them. The whole is divided into three. Yin and Yang, Male and Female, Positive and Negitive, Moon and Sun. The two oppisite polarites are always in balance which is represented by the line down the middle in the traditional picture of Yin/Yang. So the three are Yin, Yang, and Balance. From the two we can divide them into four. Air and Fire which are Male elements represent the God form or that energy which is physical in nature. Ki is an example of this as well as other physical applications of magick. Like herbalism. Earth and Water are the female elements or that which is ethearal in nature. The moons light is not its own but the suns so it is not the light that is the power. But the moon effects earths gravity which is a energy that can't be seen and it also tunes itself into the female menstural cycle which again is not seen but felt. So examples of moon energy would be anything dealing with spirits or the other realms. From there the elements can be further divided into five, six, or seven depending on the belief system.
