Merry meet! (Met? What is proper English?)
As you can see, my username is FluidDeclan. It was just gonna be "Declan," but that was taken, apparently. So I added "Fluid" as in "Genderfluid."
My gender is fluid and flows between male and female, so some days I identify as a guy and others I identify as a girl.
I feel like that's somewhat important to certain disciplines of Wicca, especially when focusing on male/female energies, as I feel as though I experience both. Maybe not equally, but definitely some balance of the two.
For anyone interested in knowing, I'm also pansexual. If you don't know what that means, here you go: "Pansexual - not limited in sexual choice with regard to biological sex, gender, or gender identity."
Hohkay, what else? Magic oriented stuff. I've been interested in Wicca for years, and got into it a little bit when I was younger. But because of some logistical problems, self-doubt, and the like, I moved away from it for a while. A friend and I recently got back into it a bit, and I'm at a point in my life where I think I could realistically start practicing, if not extensively.
I'm here by no means as a teacher. I'm about as inexperienced as it comes, practice-wise. I have some basic knowledge on background Wicca stuff, but nothing extensive or particularly in-depth.
I'm very much here to learn. I'd love to pick up a few easy spells, more along the lines of nature-celebratory?
Oh, side note, I'm a bit of an environmentalist, and I want to give back to the earth.
Back to magic; along with some simple spells to kind of get my head wrapped around things, I would very much like to learn about ritual celebrations for the solstices and stuff. I'm also interested in:
~Runes
~Astrology
~Herbology!!!
~Crystals and Stones!!!
~MEDITATION!!!
and
~General Spellcasting.
I would say that, if I had to choose a path of magic to walk, I would lean to the side of light magic or nature magic. Or like, mundane magic? Like, magic that's neutral.
I don't like dark magic. I don't like hexes and jinxes and curses, because I believe strongly in the Rule of Three and I'm not about that bad energy.
That being said, I'm not trying to discriminate against anyone who does practice those things. Your relationship with magic is personal and I'm no one to judge.
Anyway, related side note, I don't like calling magic "White" or "Black." Some people might think this is a bit extra, but I want to try and separate the concept of "good" with "white" and the concept of "bad" with "black." Perhaps that's a little much for a personal bio? But it's personal so??
Oh, also, I believe I'm somewhere between secular and religious. I believe in the All to some extent, but I prefer worship of the earth over worship of any deity figure, even though I think it would be nice to work with one of the pantheons.
Hm, I think that's about good enough? I'll add some random facts after this, maybe. But that about sums up my feelings on magic, and some of the things most important to my person.
