Light a small fire in your cauldron or container. Cut out a piece of paper that is 10 cm x 10 cm(3 x 3 inches). With the pen and red ink draw a heart on the paper and colour it in. Write the name of the person that you desire on the heart three times.

If you wish do this from the edge to the middle in a spiral, to signify how deep your love goes. While doing this be thinking of his or he rheart burning with desire for you just like the flames of the fire. Kiss the names on the heart three times. Place the paper in the fire while saying thesewords three times:

"Soon my love will come to me
This I know that it must be
Fire come from this wood
Bring love and caring that it would
Make our hearts glow and shine,
bringing love that shall be mine!"

Sit quietly as the paper burns, visualizing your lover coming towards you. After you are finished concentrating for a few minutes, extinguish the fire. Say quietly three times: "So, let it be"

Do not get impatient if nothing happens for a while. Simply have confidence that you will be given an opportunity to have a relationship with this particular person. How you handle the relationship thereafter is entirely up to you.

Be very clear in your own mind what you want to happen before you start. Be aware that it is not right to influence the other person against their will or their natural inclinations.You should use this spell to prepare the ground for true relationship.

Light the candles and the incense. Dip each strawberry in the chocolate. As you do so, visualize you and the other person together enjoying one anothers company, becoming closer and so on. Say the words below (or something similar) as you prepare the fruit:

"Lover, lover, come to me
And even then you shall be free
To come, to go just as you please
Until to stay your heart decrees".

Do be aware that you have not put a time limit on this so if you cannot handle such an open relationship choose different words. As you enjoy the fruit together be prepared to take responsibility for what occurs.

This spell can be quite powerful, particularly if you use the same pink candles when your lover arrives.Strawberries and chocolate both come under the rulership of Venus the Goddess of Love, though there is a belief that Jupiter also has a connection with strawberries.

Scratch the name of the one you love on the base of the bulb with your burine. Plant it in earth in the pot. Place the pot on a windowsill, if possible facing the direction in which your sweetheart lives.

Over the bulb, repeat the name of the one you desire morning and night until the bulb takes root, begins to shoot and finally blooms.Say the following incantation whenever you think of the other person:

"May its roots grow,
May its leaves grow,
May its flowers grow,
And as it does so,
(Name of person) s love grow."

You do need patience for this spell and you may wel lfind that you lose the impetus for the relationship before the spell is complete. This would suggest the relationship may not be right for you.

Decide before you begin what it is you are trying to achieve. If it is important to bring people together,then as you are braiding you will concentration this. If it is seen as necessary for them to go their separate ways, while you are braiding you will concentrate on the intricacies of the situation and perhaps the ability to bring about open and frank discussion.

Once you have finished braiding, you have completely new object which is a representation of the relationship between the various parties. You should now dedicate the braid to the best outcome for that relationship. Put the braid somewhere safe for at least 72 hours, preferably in constant moonlight and sunlight.

Only when the reason for the spell is fulfilled(e.g.. reconciliation between people, full honest communication, a successful business partnership) can you think of dismantling the braid. As you undo it ask that the people involved can go forward in life in whatever way is appropriate for them, gaining what they have needed from their association.

You may of course wish to keep the braid without undoing it. Do not use the ribbons for other magical purposes. A braiding spell comes under the heading of a knot spell and is a gentle way of affecting the outcome of a situation. Within the next few weeks, you should meet someone with some or all of the qualities you seek. Remember that you have called this person to you, so you can have the confidence and the time to explore the relationship properly. Never ever be judgemental about qualities in your new friend that are not ones that you have requested.

Draw the outline of a simple human figure on the card or paper, then cut it out. It should ideally be at least 10 cm ( 3 in) high. Fold the material in two and place the template on it. Cut around the template. Sew the figures together, leaving a small area open.

• Raise the bowl of honey and say:

Accept this offering of fresh clear honey
As sweet and as pure as your fine beauty
Bestow divine light
Bring me clarity
Hear my prayer now
As I choose which road.

• Raise your arms again in acknowledgementof Hecate.
• Lower your arms.
• Sit down quietly, knowing that the answerwill come to you and that you will know which decision to make.

Place the red candle on the right of your sacred space, the blue on the left and your tools in between. Put the incense in the middle above your tools. Light your incense and build up a smoky atmosphere. Light the candles, red first then blue. Pick up the tool you use most, hold it up and say:

"Hephaestus, God of the forge,
Who despite your disability,
Fashioned articles of beauty
Fit for the Gods

Come to my aid
Help me to create things of beauty
Fit for human use.
Help my inability to create those articles
I see with the inner eye
And cannot make manifest . Help me now I pray"

Now pass your preferred tool through the smoke of the incense.Hold it for a few moments, until you can feel its energy and sense it becoming alive in your hands, then say "Hephaestus I give you my thanks". When you are next working, make a small offering to the god in thanks perhaps a coin,a small painting or article you have made.

Place the candle in the candlestick and light it.

Dip your hands in the water then, without drying them, in the salt. Rub your hands together lightly until they feel slightly warm.

Pick up your wand in your most powerful hand and touch the tip lightly to the brass candlestick. Then place the tip of the wand in your other hand, thus completing a circuit.

Sit quietly and contemplate the candle, allowingenergies to flow through you until such times as you either feel a change in energy within yourself or sense that you have no further need to continue.You may then use the energy that you have generated to meditate, heal or care for others

Inscribe or mark the round end of the rod with the symbol of Edhadh. Hold the stave in your power hand. As you do so allow yourself to feel the energy of its meaning maturity and healing flood through you, giving you the power to deal with the situation.

Turn the stave, inscribed face outward, and see the energy from it flow towards the people concerned, surrounding them with its healing and reconciliation. Place the stave where you can see or feel it, perhaps on a shelf, in your desk or in your pocket. If the situation escalates, draw on the energy of the stave to calm it.

When the problem is resolved, bury the stave or toss it into running water. If you are unable to use wood for the stave the spell will work just as well by inscribing the symbol on a piece of paper or parchment and disposing of it appropriately. Do remember that this spell does not set a time limit on its resolution, so this may take some time.
