The Nanchons in Vodoun.
here is a list of the Nanchons (nations) in Vodoun this is not a complete list, I just named a few of the major ones with a small description of them.

The Rada Nanchon: the royals.
These Lwa are the eldest and come from an area in west Africa called Benin.
These are the most forgiving and they are brilliant to work with for beginners.

The petro Nanchon: the vicious.
This nanchon is supposed to have roots in Haiti and not actually in Africa.
They are rebellious and fierce and young many are tricksters.

The Kongo Nanchon: the powerful.
These Lwa come from the Congo, and are supposed to be very strong.


There are more like the ghede and Iba.
