Many people have asked me, as well as other people how one find their spirit animal. There are many ways to find your spirit animal. But first, let's define what a spirit animal is.
A spirit animal is like a guardian angel, in that it is there to protect you. No matter what your spirit animal may be, one is given to everyone.
There are several ways to find your spirit animal. Some of these ways include:
1. Finding an animal that you are spiritually, and mentally connected with.
2. Seeing an animal that appears more than once in lucid dreaming, while dreaming, or while in the astral plane.
3. Using rituals or invokations to draw forth your spirit animal

Most, if not, all people would tell you that your spirit animal is an animal you connect with, that you feel most closest with. For the most part, it is true. Many people, however, feel indifferent about any animals that they meet in their life time.
Think back to first grade, when you were asked questions about what your favorite animal was. The first thought in your head could have actually been a reaction made by the soul entirely, and that could have been your spirit animal, but this is not always true.
If you really wanted to know what your spirit animal was without having to travel the world based to meet each animal you think might be your candidate, you could meditate. Try and get your body into the astral, and when there, ask your spirit animal to come forth. You can also do this without going to the astral, and just ask your spirit animal to come forth while in meditation.
If all else fails, there is always ritual invoking. What this means is that you are using a ritual to bring forth (usually forcibly) your spirit animal. Many people have done this in the past to find their spirit animal, and have succeeded. This is a very dangerous way to find your spirit animal, but it works none-the- less. Make sure to take extra precautions when invoking any kind of spirit.
