Possible backfire?

So most of the time, I simply do spells of calming and cleansing, but just know I performed a very simple love spell.
I had the correct intentions, but halfway through the spell I thought of the upset it may bring to a girl who really quite likes him too!
As soon as I had finished the spell, I felt it working. However, I am worried that it may have the opposite effect due to my sudden negative thoughts midway through the chant?
I am really, very worried!

Since you had negative thoughts part way through the Spell it can make a spell go "rotten" you need to keep yourself positive and clear in your spells otherwise things you do not want to happen will begin to happen.

I would try not to worry about it but if things start to go bad, you can always break the spell.

Your spell won't backfire on you do to guilty thoughts unless your thoughts included something bad happening to you. The worst that could happen is it won't work at all because of your conflicting emotions on performing the spell itself. Your will/desire to do it broke, which weakened it's effectiveness.

Your intent is what drives a spell so your acknowledgment that it would hurt this other person could cause the spell to strengthen their relationship instead of severing it as you honestly didn't want to hurt her in that moment. Your realization that the spell would hurt another if it succeeded and your guilt at casting such a spell in my mind will mean it isn't likely to bring anything negative onto you as you seem to have regretted your actions. Like I say it could strengthen their relationship as if you hadn't felt it working I would say it likely wouldn't have since in that moment if only for a second you seemed to not want it to work. I may of course be mistaken in my assumptions.
