Considering the present state that the world is in now, who would WANT to live forever? And like it was said, you would be around to see your children and other loved ones die in front of you. I don't believe that any parent would want that to happen. I know I wouldn't.

I read on yahoo news that someone has discovered a jellyfish that is able to live forever...not split or re-produce in any way, but able replace or renew (don't really remember) it's dying cells!
If it's true, they will catch it and study it...but fear not the jellyfishes reproductive system is not enough for our complex bodies...even if it would be they'd probably kill the poor creature studying it before understanding it...

i read up about that immortal jellyfish thing and the site said "can revert to the polyp stage after becoming mature" which bassicly means if we could do this when we where maybe in our sixties or so we would be come a baby again. weird huh

We would be come babies at 60!! I refuse to go through puberty again in this lifetime, thankyouverymuch.

I may be new, but unless you intend to go completely insane from the deaths you see and feel you shouldn't even try. Plus, to go against the will of nature and the will of the universe in such a way, no matter how much power you can accumulate, is impossible. All in all, the idea of immortality is not a good idea for anyone. It is immpossible for any amount of witches to do so, for even one person.
