Prayer to the Holy Spirit

This simple prayer will draw the Holy Spirit close to you.

Begin by lighting a white candle. 
Next, make the sign of the cross. 
Then, close your eyes and clear your mind. 
Now say the following to draw the Holy Spirit close to you:

Breathe in me, O Holy Spirit, that my thoughts may all be holy. 
Act in me, O Holy Spirit, that my work, too, may be holy. 
Draw my heart, O Holy Spirit, that I love but what is holy. 
Strengthen me, O Holy Spirit, to defend all that is holy. 
Guard me, then, O Holy Spirit, that I always may be holy. 
Amen.

Extinguish the candle after the prayer is over. 
Close with the sign of the cross.
