the only reason the world is so shitty is because there are enough people out there who thrive on it to allow anything making the world a better place, the Church is just one example.

"all of us should stand back and let it do it's thing" what? let people who wish harm to everyone they dont understand do as they please? wouldnt one say that it is smarter to defend ourselves and, at the very least, try to make them understand us. nothing ever got done by letting something "do it's thing"

Letting the world "do it's thing" is an idea that stems from not interfering with nature. Nature has it's own way of balancing things out. When a population of an animal gets to big for the biological area "things happen" to correct the problem. Food dies out because it can not grow fast enough to feed all of that species, and diseases occur. This is the way nature takes care of itself. Now what happens when a biological area like the whole earth gets to over populated by a species like humans? I believe nature will take action. Human nature works a little differently than other species, we are the only species on earth that go to war. War causes food shortages, diseases, and lots of death. I believe those who are meant to live will and those who are meant to die will just have to live again. Keeping out of the main waves of madness seems like a good idea to me. "I will stay over here while others go to fight one another".

I don't think people will so much fight one another as the world just takes back it's own, not because humans chose for it to be so, but because the universal elements present in existence, things like disease, natural disaster, plague, this is the level these elements work at to bring balance..

I completely agree with Kao. Things will work out, and Nature will help with the balance, but still close minded people are the most dangerous. I am not saying anyone is a zombie or whatever. It is true that people/witches are being ostracized everyday, for being black, brown, yellow or homosexual. This is how it will always be with the Psychotic religious Facists. Im afraid these things will never change but dont worry to much about being burned at the stake or hung, and dont lower yourself to such levels to even let them upset you.

Besides, I would consider these so called "Witch Hunts" murder and hate crimes. The Landover Baptist Church I swear will one day be struck by lightning because they are such jerks and will burn. Yeah I don't care about them, we are protected by the First Amendment in the U.S, which gives us Freedom of Religion. Its says that in schools, administration cannot tell us not to show our faith.

again...the landover baptist site is a PARODY. If you read through it closely you will see it is a simple parody of Liberty Baptist, jerry falwell's church and schools in lynchburg va. but I did find one interesting article in the real news today

I don't think that is going to happen for the fact that most of the world has a religion based on God/Gods if that is the case then all of us would be in mental hospitals and the only ones sane would be the people who don't have a faith.

Um, right, if you take the time to read the news link that Linda provided you will read about a Detroit Michigan case. Here a young man threw "holy water" on a women and wanted to light her on fire to purify her soul. Yes, that's right, it happened yesterday here in the US.
