Brysing did not say he did not believe in magic. He's been a Witch for far longer than you've been alive. All he's trying to do is tell you what is real and what is fantasy when it comes to magic.
None of the forms of "kinesis" are real. They are the product of movies such as "Avatar-The Last Air Bender" and such like fantasy novels. They have no part in real magic.
On the other hand, magic itself is very real. But one has to understand that even magic has its limits and that magic is not like something you read in a novel or see in a movie. Magic is basically working with the energies all around us and shaping those energies to subtlely create change in the Universe.
Some books that you might find helpful in learning more about real magic and what it can and cannot do include:
"Real Magic" by Isaac Bonewits
"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig
"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar
"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson
