Don't eat snacks like potato chips and cookies. Stay away from deep fried anything, greasy foods, and candy. Water is your friend while soda is your enemy. Water is life. Only drink water if you want to see a big difference and eat greens. Make sure your blood is circulating throughout your body by doing some physical activity. That's what kept my skin glowing and never had break outs as a teen. Maybe just 1 or 3 pimples, but that's it. :)

Oh and anything man made (that medicine your doctor gave you) will not work right. The right way is the natural way. I stay away from man made meds and stick to healthly foods. Home remedies is what I live by.

Hmmm, never thought of drinking the water I boil vegetable's in, I will have to try that.

stay away from greasy foods, any fried foods are very bad. No soda. I cut soda out of my diet completely and I have seen my health improve amazingly. Lots of water. Just use water to wash your face, but use hot water first to open your pores and cold water after washing to close them back up. Work out your body as well, cardio is good to help with pimples actually. Your body connected all together, anything you do to your body that's good for it will help every aspect of yourself, every limb, fingers and toes.
Also a natural scrub I hear of Is apple cider vinegar and backing soda; apply it and scrub it in, let sit and than wash it off. Though don't get it any where near your eyes.
While scrubs wont do a lot but irritate your skin, this one is more natural and my work along with everything else.

I suffered from severe acne all thought my teen years. Eating healthy is a big part of getting your skin to behave, and so is keeping hydrated! Another thing you can do is get into a skin care routine. Every morning when you wake up, splash your face with warm water, and then cold. I take an extra step and apply Witch Hazel with a q-tip. Witch Hazel is an herb, but you can get it from a drug store for as little as three dollars US. It contains the herb itself, water, and a little alcohol to extend its shelf life. It dries out the pimples and acts as an antiseptic.

After this, I apply makeup as usual. At night, wash off all makeup with a makeup remover, or just water. Then, apply the Witch Hazel again. Once a week, use a facial scrub like St. Ives' Apricot Scrub or Green Tea Scrub. Use a face mask after this. Something with antioxidants and lots of B Vitamins.

A good way to get your veggies is to mix it in fruit juice. I blend spinach, kale, broccoli and such with lemons, apples, cranberries, blueberries and whatever berry is in season. Fresh fruits and veggies are really high in antioxidants, which is great for your skin! Do not resort to taking supplements, because my research has shown that antioxidant supplements are not good for you.

As for creams, I've found that I get the absolute best results when I just use aloe and coconut oil. Your skin needs moisture, and coconut oil makes my skin so soft! Creams bought from the store, or medicated creams from the pharmacy have dried my skin out. I get MUCH better results with natural remedies.

Also! WATER. Drink water! You need to flush your system. It rids the free radicals from your bloodstream. If you can't stand water, believe me, you will get used to drinking it.

When I was young I had the same problem, and I discovered (myself) that is was actually dermatitis and everything set it off. All the stuff I was putting on was only making it worse. I ended up using 100% natural ingredients on my face only. Glycerin soaps with cucumber and aloe or plain organic hot green tea to clean my face. To moisturize, I use sunflower or sesame oil from the grocer.

Less is more. Give your skin a rest with nothing more than warm tea washes for a week. Just use a rag that you don't worry staining (dark colors are best). Then you can start trying natural soap. Make it yourself if you can't find any good ones. Try one with plantain, chamomile, coconut, green tea and a bit of vitamin E. If it makes it worse, go back to the tea for a few days. Then try another. Do this until you find a soap that doesn't flare up your skin. Everyone is different.

Also drink plenty of fluids and take cooler baths/showers. Hot showers dry out your skin which makes the condition worse.
