Something I don't see advocated enough is this:

If you are becoming interested in a different religion, that probably means you are not getting everything that you desire spiritually out of Christianity or Catholicism (or the hundreds of branches that go off from the two). And if you were raised to believe in these teachings by your parents, then why not explore for yourself? If you were taught to believe these things at a young age, it is likely you will stick to them as an adult; it's only your instinct, your natural tendency.

Why not shed off the old culture and try to learn, experience, and believe in something yourself without authoritative guidance? It can be an enlightening time in your life, to realize that your religious upbringings don't define you -- you define yourself.

I was raised Catholic with a Christian mother and a Catholic father. (By all means I'm not telling you to do this.) But ever since I left the church, I have felt such freedom, such an open-mindedness that I never expected. It has changed my life, and made me grow into a much more beautiful person because of it.

I personally came up in a Christian home, but brace I'm so open minded that lead me to dig deeper into the whole Christian belief, while I do shared some Christian beliefs(as well as some other cultural beliefs) I am not christian, but everyone does some sort of magick. When praying so much energy is being put into the prayer and being expelled from the prayee, isn't that not magickal. You believe and feel that the prayer will be answered. As with casting a spell. To me magick is science. You're manipulating energy, and we are energy so why wouldn't we be able to manipulate or influence the energy around us and others

I don't believe the bible condemns Magick. The greek word for Witchcraft in the bible is pharmakia, which means drugs so I suppose making medicine is a form of sorcery. I might be wrong but prayer is similar to enchanting and is more effective and safer than side-effects and allergy caused by medicine. People have healed in Jesus name and Yogis heal by the power of God. Prayer, Enchantment, Mantra, it's all the same. I believe conventional methods like medicine has killed millions or more for the purpose of good. So if the bible condemns magick it condemns evil within it.

you could practice Angle magick. you should look at Llewellyn new world books. They have a nice section on Christian/wiccan practices including magick you can practice and learn by mixing the two. I really think that's where you will get the most information and answers for your questions.
