Question to all

The majority of us has come to conclusion that wearwolves and vampires are not real, and the minority of us still can't decide. But how manny are out there, who are willing to step up and say that although they don't believe in the existance of wearwolves and vampires, there is part of them that just can't stop hopeing that it could be true that humans do have to ability to transform. Haha, I know this must sound silly to most but it's just nice to get it out there.

We do not know everything in this world. There are still secrets to be unlocked. For now until i see evidence i do believe Vampire and werewolves are false. However i do not bash on those who believe. Whats the point? You got to tear someone down to feel better? Are you that shallow you got to force your thoughts down their thoughts because you think you are better? Telling your side is fine but when you do it over and over and call people names or "fluffy" your over stepping your boundary. Enough is Enough.

When I was younger I used to hope that there was a possibility that such fantastic entities might exist as well. Not necessarily vampires, werewolves, etc. but the more benign entities. I rather wanted there to be more to the world than machinery, the daily grind of trying to pay bills, and otherwise seemingly empty pursuits.

This is, in a small way, an influence in my own magical path and my spiritual exploration. Instead of finding these creatures of fantasy, it opened my eyes to the existence of other realms, spiritual awareness, and other such things that have enriched my life in a way far deeper than any creatures from fairy tales might ever have done.

This is why I encourage debate and a more skeptical outlook upon such things. You can find so much more if you turn away from the fantasies that you -wish- were real.

I'm agreeing with blackanubis on this one. I don't personally believe that they exists (Although it would have brought a bit more fun to the world making it slightly more interesting) but yeah....just because one person has a certain belief, try not to bring them down ok. There's enough agro in the world without more people joining in on making this world a more unpleasant place. Just be nice to each other...if you don't like someone, then leave them....It's common scence really.

Everyone has a tendency to believe in fantasy at some point in their lives and those who believe in something strongly or want to believe can't be swayed. In the end you might as well allow them to believe as they would, and I can see the "enjoyment" in believing in the impossible or inexplicable.

I do not intend to poke fun at anyone with my point of view, or in offering explanations and facts that conflict with others', and indeed I don't enjoy the word "fluffy" or use it unless I lack the vocabulary or patience to describe them in a more eloquent fashion. I also fully realize that there is no point in trying to change somebody's mind if they don't want it changed.

However, in offering discussion and debate that might be viewed and read by others who are more on the fence about such matters, I hope to offer them information that can help them go one way or the other. This is not a private conversation, after all. This is a public forum. It is full of children 13-18 years old and other impressionable individuals. It seems irresponsible to not try to offer more information that could allow them to think for themselves and develop informed opinions.

And, as always, if somebody responds with intelligent, reputable information in response to my own views I very much enjoy being proved wrong or given something interesting to think about.

I also enjoy a good debate ^^. I just hate it when educational people act like little children because they know more.

The dreamers will dream. And those who must see to believe will continue to do so. But neither dreams nor sight are truth. Both have their flaws.

I believe that anyone here denies the existence of other living creatures in certain unexplored areas on earth or other life bearing planets in our universe that may have beings of all shapes and sizes. But we are not butterflies, we do not naturally transform. All animals are born and die as the same animal, including us.

But we are born as we are and the only true escape of this form is death. In which cases some cultures believe we may be born into a new form. I am firmly against even the idea of transformation because it is an insult to the Nature that has created you. If you cannot appreciate what you have than you don't deserve it. I do not feel sorry for the individual that so desires to escape the vessel they were loaned that they torture themselves due to their failures to change it, and live a miserable life. Ironic justice. We have but a few years to live and few people truly live.

The desire to transform into something shows insecurities, identity crisis, and self-esteem issues. Instead of looking within and saying "I need to work on who I am inside" they take the easier, less responsible choice, and convince themselves that their ourward appearrance will somehow be the cure all. But the grass is always greener on the other side and the truth is until they look within, they will always be miserable.

Expressing superiority because of something one knows that another does not, without giving them a chance to learn it, is rather a display of one of a few things:

1) Frustration at previous, frequent refusal of an individual, or many individuals, to learn when information was presented to them.

2) Recently achieved understanding of the same topic, resulting in a youthful need to prove one's knowledge in a dramatic way.

3) A coupling of a lack of consideration for others and the brief thrill that comes of proving yourself superior in any circumstance, much like what me born of any competition.

When I speak out harshly it is often from any one (or any combination) of all three of those reasons. :P
