Well my reply is around 6 days late, but as nobody ever replied I don't see why you couldn't have two elements. If you look at my post again you'll notice I believe I have two. I originally thought oh I have one element even though my temperament marked me as a earth element, but then someone sensed I had dual elements. I believe they read me correctly as it makes sense.

To be honest I'm not sure. There are element based spells, harnessing the power of elements, etc.... which are likely easier or more powerful in regards to your personal element, but some might say that it's limiting. What I mean is focusing on magick involving a specific element limits your ability with the others and we are made up of what I call the main five elements, so we are connected to all these elements. It also depends on your view of the element. What I mean is air is often linked with knowledge so someone with the air element may be better at mental or mind related magick.

From a Western standpoint, there are only four elements - earth, air, wind, and fire. The "fifth" element is a relatively new addition that is otherwise encompassed within the idea that Divinity (or the spirit) unites the four, which in turn describe the physical world.

In terms of exploring what "your" element is, I generally say that there isn't much point. Your element is that element to which you feel the deepest affinity to. If there are multiple elements you feel closer to, more the better. After all, you will rarely find a single element existing by itself in nature.

Fire requires air and earth (fuel) to burn. From a magical stand point, it represents purity, warmth, passion, and virtue. Fire, within traditional occult practice, represents life giving warmth and the purity of the spirit.

Water most frequently contains salt, or a variety of other mineral deposits as well as various gasses that help it sustain life, and from an alchemy/western occult point of view it is the glue that holds all things together.

Earth, from an occult stand point, is what gives substance to all things. It gives us balance and stability, and with earth we can ground ourselves, and in shaping earth our thoughts and ideas gain substance (literally building, not magical creation mind you).

Air is ephemeral. Hard to grasp, ever changing, elusive, it represents thoughts, dreams, and the imagination. We can look to air for inspiration and whim.

In exploring each element, how we connect to it, and in turn seeking to grasp it more fully (through various traditional rituals, meditative contemplation, etc) we can find balance, harmony, and deeper understanding of the world around us and within us. Through this we gain spiritual insights and enlightenment concerning our existence within the physical.

Begin with the one that is most comfortable to you, or "your" element, and then move on through the rest.

The element you are closest to will just be the element you work best with. Spells which are more nature based could be stronger and bring the effects faster, where as a spell that is fire based might take longer because your affinity with that element is decreased. Hope that helped !

heres a test you can do:
put a glass of water, a clump of dirt, and a lit candle in front of you. pick each one up, feel it, get famliliar with it. if at any point in time, you feel a sudden connection to one of these elements, then that will be your element. if you feel like you can gather energy from this element, or you can manipulate it very easily, then it is probably your element.

this is just a way for you to try and test which element is yours. and i did not leave out air... well i did, but if you arent drawn to any of those elements above, then by deductive reasoning, your element should be air. however sometimes it is not air regardless...

your element is something that you are very drawn to. after a while, you will know which element you connect with the best.
for me, my element is fire. i know this because i am very connected to it. however, my secondary element is water. this is because i am an identical twin and his element is water, so i share some of his abilities. but i know my element is fire.
from what i am hearing, i think your element is air, but thats just a guess. and it is probably wrong.

No, traditionally it comes from a more Alchemic/Hermetic point of view as I described above.
