Darkest, the techniques you describe have been used for ages, but haven't always been described as related to electricity. I can dig that concept.

Thunor, the scenario you describe is ludicrous, and a technique from the fictitious story of Avatar the Last Air Bender...

First, I haven't bashed on anyone. I find that little personal attack that you made to be very unreasonable. It is also unfounded as you have no idea of my experience, practices and other beliefs. For the pyrokinesis example you gave the tin foil itself could have caused the chanfe in temperature. I am just giving my opinion and I acknowledge that I don't know everything. Nobody has been able to show me a bit of conclusive evidence and I myself have been unable to find one. That being said, I have looked. If you have some evidence to share I would like to ask that you share it, for the sake of civil discussion and not make personal attacks on me or anybody else for not agreeing with you.

i will agree it was a bit of an attack but it's just for you to open up your mind a little ;) you see, just because you or someone you know has had no success with something, it doesnt mean it's impossible/fake/etc. now, the reason why i responded in such a way was because you gave an absolute. now, you say you've searched and tried to find conclusions, which means you gave up at one point ;) dont ever give up or give in, always keep pushing to accomplish more and gain the things you lack. just gotta set some goals ;)

also, i found the video again. unfortunately, i was incorrect. it wasn't tin foil (been a long time since i've seen it). it was actually a wet towel that he ended up causing to come to a boil using pyrokinesis.

oh and awake, yes, the example was from avatar but the light socket thing wasnt. what he was trying to do was give an example of how you can use your body as a conduit in order to complete a circuit to allow the electrons to flow. the light socket is a bit off though as most people would pull away as soon as you get shocked. that's not always the case though. sometimes the voltage is high enough that it literally paralyzes you and you cannot let go.

now the only problem with using large amounts of voltage is the fact that it can literally tear you apart on the inside (and you'll have a hole somewhere on your person where the electricity escaped your body)

with chi, you're still limited to how much you're able to generate, so that would mean time and dedication are what you need in order to accomplish this feat. it all really depends on how far someone is willing to go with something though. many people end up giving up because its too hard and find something else to pacify them.

Perhaps you're a sLider or among those who are called "electric people"? Don't laugh, I'm not talking about the sci fi show. And it isn't exactly something people like to have. Its a burden on ones life. Its a name for those who have more energy to their bodies than normal. Its a psychic phenomenon until of course science can wrap their brains around it. I wouldn't have believed it, until I met someone who was like this. When he came over to my house, my lights would burn out and he had a very "weird" feeling to him that I had never felt in someone's energy before. Not good nor bad, it was too strange to describe. He didn't admit to what he called a "curse" until two lights burned out at once. Then he apologized, and I looked at him strangely! Why should he apologize for my bulbs? LoL! Then he explained it happened all the time around him. His wife and kids agreed! It started after he had been struck by lightening (indirectly). He was a phone tech that jumped off the light pole just as a storm hit quickly. The pole was struck just as he jumped and he was sent flying. After that, electronic equiptment always acted weird around him. and lightening would always strike very near him or hit his car if he went outside during storms (so he avoided it). He called it a "curse" because he hated it, and the more he came over, the more I believed him. My electronics would work just fine until he came by, and they would go back to normal when he left. It was very odd.

Like I said, I wouldn't believe the pheonomenon unless I saw it for myself, but electronics just acted plain weird when he was in my house, and he wouldn't touch them for the life of him! Nor clocks, or cellphones, for fear of breaking them. Funny thing is, this man was 100% athiest. He was certain there was a scientific explaination for it, but feared people would think he was insane.

I don't believe in kinesis, as in learning to achieve it, but I think that some people are born with more energy than normal and others gain it through being electricuted and living through it lol (IF they live). Like I said, I can't be a skeptic on this one because I've seen it with my own eyes that some people have more energy in them that may effect electronic devices, especially when they get angry or excited.

The reason science has yet to figure it out is because it isn't 100% consistent, but it is a trend that is very obvious. Most that have it think people will believe they are crazy for it and remain quiet. Paranormal theorists believe science can't pinpoint it because science has yet to pinpoint spiritual manifestations and hauntings, which may be on the same level. Anyone who has had a spirit mess with their electronics will know they're very good at it! Others think that its the electricity our neurons give off, that are stronger in some, but if that were the case, I'm sure science would have already discovered it. They are trying though! I've seen it on the discovery channel years ago, and I know some Universities are continuing to investigate it.

I googled the term for everyone here to see and without deep digging, I found this one which seemed pretty on the mark.

People don't like it, in fact, most hate it and feel they are a victim of this "disorder" of sorts. I think that's how you can tell the difference between a "fluff" and the genuine article. People don't like having this. It isn't as much a gift as it is a curse.

I don't believe so much in this "SLI" thing where street lamps are effected. But the more "believable" effect that I have seen (seeing is believing =) ) are those who are harrassed by static shock or electronics malfunctioning.

I agree with 2 you can't be sure you did it until you do it more than once and if it wasn't you and you keep trying you might get hurt so do it in moderation.

Now Awake, I was giving purely hypothetical examples that have averysmall chance of happening (or a small chance of someone being insane enough to test them)due to my high level of frustration of [what I perceived as] plain English and laymens' terms being not understood, and the example of lightning was not off of Avatar: The Last Airbender , it was based upon a [true] story that I had heard. Now, the other examples could not even be associated with that show.
