Well, my opinion is that it is real. Khelek the reason it hasn't gotten into the media is because the few that can do it either a) don't want it publicly displayed or b) they have no way of getting media proof. Saying, "pics or it didn't happen" is like saying, "I'm too lazy to try myself so I'll have someone else show me proof of it". I am currently working on shapeshifting (a long journey) and it seems legit. If you want the knowledge then you have to seek it instead of sitting there and saying, "pics or it didn't happen". Sometimes you can't get pics, sometimes you don't want to display pics on the internet.

From what you're saying, Diamo, every fourteen year old roleplayer that has logged onto this site claiming to be some kind of shapeshifter has been telling the truth? Allot of people are willing to claim it, but nobody is willing to prove it. If they didn't want it known, why would they claim it?

Don't assume I'm saying "pics or it didn't happen" just because I'm to lazy to try. I generally keep an open mind, but I also tend to think things through logically. After several attempts, I found slight alterations are possible and not as hard as some might think. Changing eye color, hair color, making hair grow faster, etc. Much easier just to buy hair dye or colored contacts, faster too, but it's possible to accomplish it without that. Changing your entire being from one anatomical structure to another, however... I'm going to need to see proof of that before I believe it. I've already explained why.

No I'm not saying every 14 year old kid who's come on and said that they're a shapeshifter is telling the truth. Go on these webpages:

http://www.lulu.com/product/paperback/mthos/4234635?productTrackingContext=center_search_results

http://hubpages.com/hub/Morphosephram

These talk about a book about shapeshifting. I actually have the book and I am working with it.

Cool. Succeed, then post pics. I'm not about to risk wasting 41 dollars on something that has yet to be proven even as a possibility.

Well, someone has to pay that money. I'll tell you when I have achieved the physical shift.

Opinion is a part of belief. Cognitive part.

Well as You confirmed my claim, neither there are proof that it is possible nor that it is not. Therefore it is a mat position.
All of this said of course , reffers to science and logic. Magick is part social science and part art , and certainly does not have to abide law's of physic.

Changing human into something else is nothing more miraculous than telekinesis or/and levitation which have been proven scientifically too ( Nina Kulagina , Uri Geller etc. ).

Also You assumed it is impossible or rather You believed it was , because according to You it would be rather dramatic change. Cryptozologists claim that changes that would took place in such an event, would most likely not induce any internal morphologic change, they would change some of brains neurochemistry, alter pupils in some way, cause face spastics, alter digestinal chemistry up to some level ( ferments and enzymes ) , increase the production of certain hormones ( such as somatotrophine testosterone and adrenalin , perhaps endorphin too ) , elongated teeths or induced their temporary growth possible in cases of rage dissease or lyssa, prominent hypertrichomia and perhaps some symptoms of lupus ( such as irritation to strong light ).

All these changes do happen to human body in real life, and proves can be found easily. For some sort of lycanthropic change they would all ( or most of them anyway ) have to happen together.

Also If something is logical that does not make it true ( one of the first thing we learn on logic ) and , ok I was wrong You stated Your belief not opinion. Ok, but You should not have been so affirmative and explicit when did so, and when we express our belifs we can not really do it in simple sentences that contain subject or pronoun to act as such and a verb, or adverb to describe it. I am sure that as You already know, it is a simple affirmative sentence and such are not suited for expressing opinions, beliefs or attitudes but fact and to denote something obvious.

Diamo, I've had enough people tell me they achieved a physical shift. I'll need you to show me.

Obscurus, changing an object into something it is not is very different from telekinesis and levitation. Both telekinesis and levitation can be explained without contradicting anything to an extreme degree.

Look into the anatomy of a human and a wolf. You will see that it is much different on more levels then just the chemical. At best, maybe it's possible for us to turn into gorillas. That makes sense to me. Turning into a wolf is more likely then a fish or bird since the wolf is a mammal and so are we, but in my belief it is about as possible for a dog to give birth to a cat(in other words, not going to happen).

Look at any religious individual, when they talk about their religions they will probably do so as if everything they are saying is a fact. Why do they do that? Because they believe it is so. So why would I state so confidently that this is impossible? Because I honestly believe it is so. And until somebody finally pulls up something to prove me wrong, aside from so-and-so says or any other improvable claim, that is what I will belief. If you don't like that, just don't read my posts. I'm not about to act like I don't honestly believe what I am saying when I do just because some people have a problem with my beliefs, regardless of what those beliefs may be.

We're still going in circles, I think.

Your point: I don't have proof that I'm right.

My point: Nobody has proof that I'm wrong.

belief and faith are all we have in a world of insanity and uncertanty. faith in the abilities of man is a very powerful thing, half of being a wiccan is having faith in abilites that the average person cant perform because of lack in said faith. i am not saying that its impossible nor that it is possible because i dont know. yet again it comes down to faith which funnily enough is what the christians have to spare.

I get your point alistair. All of us have faith which is comparable and it is certain that we cannot take assumptions of the impossible or possible because it'd be ignorant say such things won't happen.

As I said change that would take place would not be so dramatic at all , no need for any drastic anatomic changes and especially not the internal ones.

As for being confident about Your beifs that is very commendable. Yet there is a time and place for everything. You have posted in forums. Where people dicuss about occult and esotery and seek facts about it.

I am sorry If this will offend You, but none of us members, and that includes EVEN YOU can not be considered authority in some area simply because we do not know Your credentials. So in forums we should stick to facts accepted by eminent occult scholars and occult society in general, and information we can find in Books and oother reliable source of information , that are product of acknowledged long time work and experience. We can provide facts here and then , If know how to properly do it give opinion and express our belief on them.

This is not a philosophy , logic, medicine , physics nor experimental biology site. It is a magickal site. With all above said conclusion is very simple You must strictly point out what is Your opinion/belief and that it is YOUR opinion/belief only ! Otherwise it is misleading and perhaps role play, depending on statement.

On mine and Your point I agree. And also as none can prove Your claim incorrect none can mine.

Blessings !
