Think of the person you want to curse and think of what you want to happen to them. When you have done that light the piece of paper on fire in front of you and watch the paper burn into ashes. Some may think of their person to die, it may happen.

I bet it doesn't even work.

The bare bones are there, but it is missing some detail. For example at the very least writing the full name of the person you are intending to curse onto the paper before burning it. You could also write out your hatred, along with ill-wishes, insults, and desires to see them fail and otherwise suffer. Any and every malfeasance you can put to words until every bit of the paper is covered with your hatred. Then burn the paper. But make sure you do it outside and away from your home. You don't Qantas to trap that negativity inside your own space- the goal is to release it outward so it can be released against its target.

This is how to curse someone, but it is not a curse. While there is no official classification of curses verses hexes verses jinxes, the general breakdown is like this

Jinx A minor amount of negative energy sent at a person to cause misfortune. The Evil Eye would be an example. Charging negative energy and glaring at them. Jinxes will fade over time.

Hex The most common form of baneful Magik Hexes contain limited items to cast. Chants could be considered a curse. You charge more negative energy than a jinx, but it requires more effort. Unlike a jinx, the target will need to put in some effort to break the hex. Example, a cleanse.

Curse Requires the most energy, usually a coven, but not always. You can cast curses with practice, but it is an energy drain. Requires more items than a hex. Like a hex, curses will require effort to remove, but it will be more time consuming and difficult. It might be generational. It will require more people and a more intense cleansing.

So, the above appears to be between a hex and a jinx since it has little energy or items required to cast. While I do not advocate for baneful work, if you are serious about it, use a better hex. However, this is the process when you cast a baneful spell.
