I need help writing and creating spells. I’m trying to make a dream spell where you can open up your Dreamscape, a realm in the middle of your mind.

As a warlock, I can offer some guidance on how to create a dream spell. The first step is to clearly define the intent of the spell. In this case, you want to create a spell that allows the user to open up their Dreamscape, a realm in the middle of their mind.

Next, you'll need to decide on the specific elements and components of the spell. For example, what materials will you need? What type of incantation or ritual will you use? What energy will you be drawing upon to cast the spell?

One possible approach to creating a dream spell could involve the use of a dream journal or other tool to help focus the user's intent and visualization. You could also incorporate elements of lucid dreaming, such as reality checks or visualization exercises, to help the user gain greater control over their dream state.

Another important consideration is the potential risks and side effects of the spell. For example, some dream spells may leave the user feeling groggy or disoriented upon waking, while others may cause more vivid or intense dreams that could be unsettling or disturbing.

Ultimately, the key to creating a successful dream spell is to remain focused and intentional throughout the process. By carefully defining your intent and selecting the right components for your spell, you can help ensure that it is effective and safe for use. I wrote a lengthy post on how to create your own spells. You can find it at https://www.spellsofmagic.com/read_post.html?post=829629

To create a spell for the site, you need to be within a coven and listed as a council member. This one (spell casters) sets everyone as council automatically.

Go to the coven page (I find it easiest to go to my own profile page and just hit the coven link) then go to either spells (if you are wanting to write a spell) or Rituals (if you are wanting to post something long-format like an essay, philosophy, or full ritual).

Once on the spell page, which will be the main list of entries for the coven, at the top you will see another little link saying council; add spell. Strangely the articles section has the option in the navigation dropdown at the top instead, once you are there.

Either way it will hop you to the appropriate form. Fill in a title, brief mission-statement, ingredient list, and the spell itself.

As a note, the spell entry form does not automatically format. So you need to use html for spacing and such.

Some useful tags; note, each tag needs to be placed inside of angled parenthesis. Like this- what you want to say

And an edit after the fact... apparently anything inside of the greater-than/less-than parentheses get considered html and if they aren't actual tags then they just disappear into the nether.

So, instead, I just recommend hitting google with a search for 'basic HTML' and you will see some useful tags. Particularly, how to make a line break, paragraph break, formatting like bold and italics, and horizontal lines.
