ToTM: Afterlife

January's Topic of The Month is Afterlife!

The afterlife! What do you believe in? Do you think we go to a certain place? Do you think it's our choice or are we " forced " to go somewhere? Do you believe it exists? Or simply believe that nothing happens when we die? Share with us your opinion and view on this topic!

I don't really know what I believe in regarding the after life. But all I know is that I honestly don't like to think about it lol, I'll accept what ever comes.

I agree a little with Charoite, I don't know what's gonna happen and I'll just accept whatever comes. One thing I do believe in though is reincarnation and "ghosts".

I've had a little experience with past life stuff, a lot of dreams and presences. Having family members visit me and then hearing they've passed the next day. My most recent experience was very intense and surprising, but it really does make me believe in reincarnation. I feel certain that to move on people need closure, and that by visiting me the last spirit recieved that.

I do think that if we can remember our past lives, or have any memory of them that we should try and learn from them and keep living our current life. I used to be obsessed with figuring out tiny pieces, feeling like I was putting something important together. But I forgot that I actually need to keep living, it's enen kind of hard to now because I can sense a feeling of love or belonging that I don't have in this life.

I would really like to think there's some place that we go after death and see everyone that we miss and want to be with, but it's really not something I can be certain of. I really do like the topic and helping spirits when I can, but it's not really something that I activly think of or seek out.

It is my belief that we choose were we go. I believe there are many more realms than Earth, Heaven, Hell, etc..

I do not believe in the Christians system where if you behave you'll go to heaven, if you don't, you go to hell, but what I really hate is how you can be " confessed " despite of your crimes. But let's not get in to that!

For me I always loved the forest and the moon. Like, always. So I wish to go to a place like that. Somewhere magical where I can be at peace, happy, hopefully with a loved one, haha.

This is my own opinion and belief, I think we do go somewhere, that it does not end just like that and I do believe it's our choice. I don't think it's fair that you're being forced somewhere.

I'm not sure what to think of the afterlife anymore, that's something I still need to fully figure out.

However, I believe that there are multiple realms. Depending on who we worship/work with and our personal belief systems, that helps determine which realm we'll go to. So in a way, we get to choose.

I always that we can choose how we die/ or come back.

Like If you want to reincarnate, you can do that and go through the "portal" into the next like, or if you want to stay on Earth as a spirit but later you want to reincarnate then you can do that.

I thought this because of all the new information and experiments they had on death and reincarnation and all that jazz.

I always believed that death is like a long sleep so the afterlife is like a dream that is the last 7 minutes of a brains function. Each persons dream depends on where they think they'll go after death or what their belief system is

I do believe in the afterlife. I believe there are other realms, even we could go to when we are alive, but don't know hwo to do that yet. And I am a Christian, of which I believe we can go to heaven or hell, but I always wondered other places, like Vahala (hope I spelled that right). I want to go to heaven, because my family will be there. I found this thread very interesting, because I wondered that. And in my experience, if you believe something, its possible.
