Your Gods/Goddesses?

I would like to know who are your Deities and what is your experience with them.

Well, my patron god is Anubis, he came to me in a dream when I was about 14, after that I decided to do some research about him and found a website that explained all the egyptian gods. I link what it says about Anubis and link the website.

Also, it is believed Anubis only comes to those with a pure heart, and cares for those who show compassion.

Anubis: Surrender/Shaman/Enlightened Heart

Anubis is the enlightened heart shaman who is the Opener of the Way, meaning he has gone before us, as one of us, to pave the way so that we might follow in his footsteps. Anubis knows how to surrender his heart and his truth to ever-expanding cycles of death and rebirth, in order to step more fully into his divine humanity here on Earth. “On Earth as it is in Heaven.” He is the original Wolf Spirit from the Dog Star, Sirius, who is our ever-faithful companion, assisting us in our ego deaths and renewal of our soul’s true purpose. He is a walker between worlds and knows how to sniff out the path that comes and goes from form to formlessness. Anubis cares deeply about us and will guide us if we call upon him during our own shamanic journeys between the worlds.

In ancient Egypt, Anubis was known as the Divine Embalmer, and was said to have worked with his mother, Nephthys, and his adoptive mother, Isis, to help find the scattered pieces of Osiris’s body. He helped prepare the body and wrapped it in the mummy cloth. He was considered an underworld god, the son of Osiris, who became a guardian and guide, leading the deceased along all the pathways from the darkness back into the light. Anubis is often depicted reading the scales during the weighing of the heart against the feather of Ma’at.

Personally, I believe in the Deus Absentium, the Absent God. I believe everything was created by it, and and at some point, it made a decision; either it chose to leave us behind, or it chose to let its creations do as they please. Bleak, I know, but it's the only way I can figure.

i've worked with a lot of Egyptian deities to varying degrees. currently my matron is a Germanic deity and my Patron is Celtic. while i had worked with the Wiccan Lord and Lady, and several Egyptian deities, it always felt kind of one way. not that they didn't like me, just if i didn't put in the effort, i wouldn't get a reply [which you do need to put in effort, but it felt like a one-way street, unless it was in circle i never felt them around me] so eventually i had a little falling out with my practice [life got in the way plus spiritual burn-out] eventually i got back on the path but i didn't feel any connection to anything really. one day i decided i wanted to find my matron and feel that connection people talked about. it took a month or two, one day i saw a video [sadly been taken down, but she promises to put it back up soon as her legal issues are done] where she was giving tips on how to narrow down the search, something just clicked in my mind like 'type this and that into google as see what comes up' and the second thing on the list was this huge lightbulb moment for me.

it's going on 3 years and i've been really close with my Matron, just like i wanted. have a permanent altar for her i leave offerings on regularly. only hard part at first was there's a lack of information on her, so most is personal trial and error. there's a few people with blogs about her so i had some guidance, but mostly, it's using my judgement. it usually ends well, provided i thought about it and not simply 'here's some food i don't want'.

really my biggest problem is she loves salmon, and i have a cat. thankfully among other things [she's a Goddess of like 4 things] she's a Goddess of animals, the first time he jumped up and ate the salmon i freaked out and was apologizing like crazy [thing is she's one of those 'dark goddesses' so half of the year she's more understanding than the other half] luckily i caught her in a good mood and she kind of laughed it off. the last time my cat tried that was during the 'dark half' and she wasn't happy. i went to have a nap, was having this really nice dream walking through the city then WHAM bear attacked me and i spent the rest of the dream trying to calm the bear down only to shoot awake and my first thought was 'what did i do to upset her?' less than a minute later my boyfriend walked in and informed me the cat jumped up on the altar. he hasn't done it since so i'm assuming my Goddess gave him hell too lol.

she returns in the spring with new wisdom, so i'm currently planning what to do for Ostara and am starting a cleanse of myself and my home to welcome her back. it's not something in the history of her, but most of the people i talked to who works with her tend to do a similar cleanse around this time, so i've started as well.

I'm a Christian so obvisouly you can infer who my patron is. Still, despite my beliefs there are certain pantheonic deities I have always been drawn to. From way back I've always been intruiged by Anubis though being interested in the god of funerals sounds a bit...depressing I guess in some ways though why shouldn't one be interested in one who guides people to the spirit world? :) Of all the...warrior defined gods I have found Bastest interesting. I am also a fond supporter of trickster entities like Loki as they are very cunning individuals and I feel drawn to his son Fenrir as well. I could go on but in the end I'm not exactly answering your question correctly. We all have different beliefs and I don't personally believe in these other deities but simply find their lore, what they represent, etc...admirable I guess you would say.

Loki
Loki was the first deity I came to know, and he more or less guided me through the path I am on today. I honor him first and foremost, and more frequently than the others. I honor him as a force of chaos and change throughout life. I feel that Loki presented himself to me when I was at a low point in my life, and through that interaction I became the person I am today. I include him in much of my workings, such as seidhr and pathwalking. He seems to take an interest in dreams and visualizations at times.

Mimir
I became interested in Mimir as I am a scholar and on a pursuit for all things academic. I love seeking knowledge. And Mimir loves hoarding it. So it seemed a fitting relationship. His personality often reminds me of that of a cranky old man, who jests and jokes to deter you from how much he really knows. I honor him and call upon him when I am exploring new topics, studying new books, seeking knowledge on older lore, to inspire or motivate me to pursue something academically, or just because. He sometimes/sometimes doesn't help.

Freyja
There are many aspects to Freyja which appeal to me. I enjoy her sensuality, and in my own life have come to her for relationship matters. I honor her wisdom, and I honor her as a teacher of seidr and spae-craft. I feel she is very magically-inclined, much like Loki, and that in honoring her I may expand my own practice and learn more about it as well.

Aegir & Ran, Njordr
These three I came to honor because of my love for the environment and my love, specifically, of water. I am inexplicably drawn to the ocean, to marine life, to estuaries, lakes, and rivers. Wherever water is, I wish to be. I work in environmental science as a career because of my love for nature and wish to honor it. It seemed fitting then that I was drawn to these deities associated with the water and human interaction with it. From them, and their associated kin, I hope to learn more about the nature of water and how to respect it, emulate it.

Skadhi
Skadhi, much like Angrboda (Loki's consort), has often appeared to me as a strong, solitary woman who is motivated to achieve her goals and determined to stand opposed to whatever blocks her path. I take inspiration from her strength and seek to learn myself how to stand strong as she does. In my personal experiences with her, she is very physical and represents strength not only in mentality but also physical body. I've called upon her while working on my own strength in both regards.

Fenrir
Loki's wolfson is definitely not a deity I would suggest to most individuals. I came upon him by chance, through my love and worship of Loki, and have since taken a back seat approach to honoring him. I do not work with him directly, rather I learn about myself by watching him. I honor what he stands for. The shadow self within me that, like Fenrir, must sometimes be bound for the greater good. I honor that he is a necessary part of this cyclic life. Much like his father, a force of chaos - balancing out the world. I honor how raw and truthful his emotions and feelings are, and it teaches me about my own passions though I understand his destructive nature.

B.Khala: A God of time, death, and "bad karma". My relationship with Him is strictly work related, though He's a bit protective as to sending his spirit followers here. Not that many people works/worships Him, so I can see why.

Ibu Pertiwi: A Goddess of nature and earth. She's a motherly person. Our relationship isn't that strict, but I just usually leave offerings for her and take care of nature around me as a way to worship her.

Nyi Roro Kidul: A Goddess of the sea. Our relationship is a bit odd, but it's nothing out of the Goddess/follower relationship. Something happened between us when I'm a kid, so it's a bit awkward for me.. She's a nice and strict person.

For spells, I've only ever worked with B.Khala. I'd say that they're all good experiences and nothing bad happened.

Well when I first started exploring my own path when I was a little younger, I felt drawn to Hecate (that's how I spell her name sometimes others spell it differently). I felt like her beliefs and many of her depictions fit well with me during the time that I found her and I heavily influenced myself on things that she was said to do. She taught me a lot, and I think guided me into the person I am today. I worked with her for nearly four years and even though I incorporated other gods into my worship and practices, she still presented herself to me. A lot of people claim that she was more harsh, and very wise and I completely agree. I like to think of her as someone who taught you lessons by allowing you to stumble on your own two feet. She didn't spoon feed me and expected me to work for something and that expectation helped me.

My other gods I usually worked with, were Apollo, and Demeter. These are more lighter gods on my spectrum and I tended to work with them before I decided to take a breather from religion for a while.
Apollo really connected with me and it's almost like he chose me in a sense. I was always interested in mythology and lore and Apollo's story touched me. I didn't know much about him before I started being called by him but he taught me a lot on love and I feel like him and both Demeter, as well taught me the importance of acceptance and trust.

Besides that I tended to also lean towards the Norse/Germanic gods. I wasn't really sure why I was drawn to them but I know
Odin really impacted me and made me question and change my own views. I rarely worked with those gods however just due to the fact that the religion itself
was harder for me to understand at the time.

2. A woman who acts as a supervisor or monitor in a public institution, such as a school, hospital, or prison. I think you'll agree that this definition does not fit the relationship we have with a Goddess.

The fact is that the term "Matron" in reference to one's relationship with a Goddess came out of the feminist movement and has become commonly, but incorrectly, used by many.

That being said, I work with Sekhmet, Anpu, Tejuti, and Menthu.
