Dream of me spells?

I'm fairly new to this whole scene and so far I haven't tried any spells involving candles or materials beside my voice. I've recently started doing some chanting spells to make my crush dream of me, I'm way too wary to try any serious love spells. I have a lot of belief that they'll work but I also have doubt that I can make them work. I guess I just need advice on how to make sure my spells are working?

If you are new to magic, it will help you to learn what magic really is, how it works, what it can do and what it cannot do. I suggest reading the threads stuck to the top of the General information section of the forum.

If you are practicing a specific path or religion that incorporates the use of magic it will help you to read up on that as well. Many of the paths have a multitude of beginner books.

To add, divination is a great way to tell how the spell is going. There are many forms of divination, and this will depend both on the spell and personal preference. For instance, it would be very convenient to do a candle and wax reading on a spell which uses candles.
