Spell Catigories
So here is a question...

Since most can agree that spells such as: Mermaid spells, Vampire spells, or Teleportation spells do not work. So which categories of spells would you say should just be avoided all together?

That's easy/ The " Fantasy " section.

Be realistic with your choices, the fantasy section, as has already been mentioned, is a no go for anyone serious about their practice.

Many spells in the health category are also nonsensical, like the death spells and resurrection spells.

The spells in the trick category are definitely all fake, bar the rare one or two that may have some reality.

The Weather category is also made up majority with spells created with no real use in the world.

By the very nature of many of the categories, like trick, weather, fantasy, etc. You can safely say that most of these spells are useless.

But even in the categories that are more likely, it does not mean that there won't be fake spells and ideas, as always it is far better to write spells yourself than to rely on those found here.

There is a behavior I have noticed occasionally: Sometimes a person will join this site and join the Spellcasters coven with the intent of posting spells right away. Some of these people have not studied or practiced magic. They somehow don't think they need to. Some of these people make wild guesses at what a spell should be, and post in the hopes of getting positive feedback.

You'll see the same in threads on the forum sometimes, something like:
"Hey, guys! I wrote this spell tell me if it works for you!

Message me if it works!"

That, in my opinion, is a screaming tell that it is not a valid spell.
