Hello Friends!
Hi there. My name is Destin. I'm a 17 year old female. My religion is the Nordic Pantheon, though I recently converted about a year ago so I still have a lot to learn. I also have been very fascinated in magic for a long time. Though... I'm both really new and very poor (as in i cant get supllies) so I am not the best. Anyways, looking forward to learning how to become a good spell caster and making new be friends!

Well, if you're serious about learning how to do magic and with starting from the rock-bottom then you don't start out by casting spells, you start out by learning how and why magic works.

You see, there is no such thing as an "easy" spell or a "beginner" spell. One either understands how magic works and has mastered the which case the magic will work..or you haven't done that sort of work..and no spell will work no matter how "easy" it seems.

Casting a successful spell involves much more than finding some spell on the internet or in a book, saying some words, lighting a candle, waving a wand of any of that sort of thing. In order for magic to work you need to understand how and why it works in the first place. Grounding and centering, visualization, focus and intent, energy manipulation, etc are all necessary first steps to even begin to have a chance at a spell actually working...and more importantly to prevent a spell from back-firing on you.

So, my advice for anyone who is truly serious is to start by reading a few books and practicing the exercises those books will give you. Once you have mastered the basics you won't need anyone to give you spells, you'll be able to create your own spells that will be far more effective than anything you find on the net. Here's the books I suggest:

"Before You Cast a Spell" by Carl McColman

"Spells and How They Work" by Janet and Stewart Farrar

"The Veil's Edge" by Willow Polson

"Modern Magick" by Donald Michael Kraig

Oh goodness thank you! I am serious about learning since I always found it fascinating. So I shall see if the local library or Barns and Noble's has any of them so I can do my research. Thank you again!

Hello Destin, there are many sites online than offer techniques and videos on grounding, meditation, energy healing, opening up psychic faculties, and how to understand and work with magic in general. These forms of magic do take a long time to learn and involve lots of reading, but they are also considered by many to be the most powerful and effective forms of magic; and, you don't really need to buy many things other than maybe books in order to learn that type of magic. So, the bad news is you don't have so much money, but the good news is you'll probably end up being a more skilled witch because of your financial situation. Any way, if you're looking for a friend, then message me and add me as your friend. Good luck on your journey, and welcome to SOM:)
