If you still need help with things associated with Hades for a altar here are some things:
(three-headed) dog, black horse(s), black cattle, screech owl; cypress, mint, white poplar, asphodel; seeds, acorns; (rough) jewels or crystals; metals; coins (as in, those left on the eyes of the dead); pomegranates; cornucopia; bird-tipped sceptre; golden chariot; helmet; (golden) throne; (golden) keys; anything representing wealth; anything representing death or the other chthonic deities; bones; hotel keys; grave dirt or other cemetery souvenirs; black, somber colors, silver, gold

i would personally suggest following your gut intuition. also i would suggest meditation to try to feel a connection with Lord Hades and how his realm and powers relate to you personally. and perhaps maybe even pray to Him.

that's an interesting one to worship. at times in history the words 'Hades' and 'Hell' have been interchangeable. And indeed, if you look at what's under the planet, what does it seem to be? Tectonic plates (like alternative continents) and lava... it all sounds a bit fire and brimstone!

Well, as a Greek Pantheon neopagan, I will say that worshipping any of the cthonic deities is a very interesting endeavor. I worship Hekate, Eris, Hades, and others. It's an interesting path to say the least, but my experience with Lord Hades is that he is a generally benevolent force, and as long as you respect him he's very nice. I will suggest avoiding the issue of his father, Cronus, you know, the one who ate him. It's generally speaking a poor idea and its like asking a war veteran about what the tortures used by the Vietnamese were. You don't do it. It's not nice. And with Lady Hekate, remember she is the goddess of choices. I generally direct other Greek Pantheon pagans to her, if they are looking for a god to worship. Even if she is not the best fit for you, if you ask nicely and give her an offering, she may direct you directly in the right direction, to borrow a line from the Cheshire cat.

Regards and blessings, Iznaret

Hekate is a titaness, not a goddess. And Hekate is hardly a titaness to worship if you "are looking for a god to worship".

Whether or not She is a Titaness or Goddess is debatable. Being Titan-born it would make sense despite Her being 3rd Generation. However She is more commonly depicted as a Goddess rather than Titaness.

Actually, Tarasios. The reason that Hekate is depicted as a Goddess more nowadays, is that the New Age-y version of Her is showing Her off as a Goddess, rather than a Titaness. Some people like to twist things around and whatever they say is truth, but it's not actually true at all. This is one of my prime examples of that.

By worshiping Hades, you are in no way worsiping anything Dark, like Satan or Lucifer if that is your intentions
In the old days very few Greeks actually worshiped Hades
Even His brothers for the most part avoided him
Hades is the God of Death and the Underworld
Kinda like the Modern day Grimores reaper
We all come to meet him one day,and he is in no way good or evil he is just the end of life. It's an odd God to worship at best
But to each his ownm

Hades is also well known for His riches. Gems and such being a part of the earth and generally underground. If it is a respectable wealth you're in search for He would be the God to contact.
