This is a really good article about it.http://paganwiccan.about.com/od/faq/f/parents.htm

It should be helpful, but in all honesty, just have a serious heart to heart with them about it. If they say you can't practice it, then that is their decision, you have to respect that. But that doesn't have to stop you from studying things that go into the Wiccan religion (mythology, herbs, correspondances).

You don't have to tell them if you don't want to or think you are ready.

I can be very difficult to explain witchraft to your parents. Mine found out accidentaly from my BoS aha.
As suggested, the best way is probally an open heart to heart. Or , if you think is better, keeping it a secret. Who knows, you may be suprised by your parents reaction!
Blessed be, and good luck. :)

If you are under 18 and living in the United States, as well as some other countries I'm sure, your parents have full control over your religious choices. I definitely think you should discuss with them about it.

I would clearly describe your beliefs, practices, and everything that you know about Wicca. People sometimes have misconceptions about other religions, so I recommend looking up what some of the common ones might be. Be ready to completely explain your choices and beliefs, and don't leave room for misunderstandings. You need to be able to explain what you know and why you're choosing Wicca, but don't be afraid to say "I don't know everything yet."

As muurta said, most places minors cannot choose their religion without their parents permission. You need to tell them, but you don't have to tell anyone else unless you want to.

Best to time it, wait for a moment when both your parents are home and relaxed, not after a stressful day. Ask them to sit down and listen to everything you have to say first. Calmly explain why you wish to become Wiccan, what Wicca is and isn't, and provide facts be it in books, printed off the internet or links for them to look into. When finished, sit and listen to them, don't cut them off or get mad [even if they are] but ask them to think about it and read the information, a week or so later, ask again, you might need to find a compromise, or wait until you are legally an adult to convert.
