I have some (stressing the some part*)natural ability but not sure how to access it. I want to improve.
its a inherited thing I guess. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

And what is this so called natural ability. We can't help you if you are not specific.

Practice, reading, studying, and more studying will help you.

By natural ability I meant I have a 6th sense more than coincidence or most people.. Also I have used energy orbs for healing in the past but I have had no training its just something I have always done. My grandmother explained very little. I am aware certain abilities ran in my family but the practice has been lost.
I have cast minor spells by candle light for luck and health in the past. What I wish for occured but I never said a spell. I just thought it. I really would like suggestions for how to awake my inner ability. And I would like to start practising.

I feel a little confused on where to start

Witchhazel, apart from gender and location there is nothing on your profile. So we know nothing about you. Your interests, your beliefs, even your age! Tell us about yourself, and then---we might be able to guide you. Guide you, not teach you!
