Any spirit has the ability to manifest for a certain amount of time (generally not that long). So undoubtedly, some very strange sights have been seen when beings far different from our worldly ones decide to have a fieldtrip onto our plane of existence. They are, however, spirit and not physical. That doesn't mean that they are entirely harmless, no spirit should be underestimated, but it does mean that they are rooted in the spiritual world and those that experience them are no different than those that "ghost hunt".

Ok here is how all the strange creatures work, there are multiple planes of existence, ours being one of the lowest, if not the lowest (cant remember) than there are higher planes whe are not shour how many because whe do not have access to all of them, but the ones whe do have access to are all grouped as the astral plane in which whe can manifest in our astral bodys for quite some time, in the astral plane there are virtually no limitation to what whe can do , but the creatures there can manifest here as spirits they posses all the same abilitys which they do there only they dont have mutch influence on the phyzical plane, they can manifest here in two ways, there is a part of the astral plane that overlay this world where they can be as long as they please cause its still the astral plane, but they can also manifest as spirits on the phyzical plane, but since they have no bodys, whell as stated above in a nother reply, these creatures on eighter plane can be seen by those who have lurned how to overtime or as we normaly call it using the third eye, or the entaties can eighter show themselves to you, or just not hide from people in which case some normal people who haven't developed there third eye can see them, this is where many of the creatures of legend come from, but not all
and to answere your question now when I have explaned how all this works in a nutshell no, yes yes, maybe
p.s. There is a popular balive that dragons used to live here on earth but moved to the astral plane to escape humans, or whatever there are a lot of versions on the why's (but I personaly think that they just used to "hang" at the part of the astral plane that overlays the phyzical a lot and not hide themselves or something along the lines of that, because I realy dont think that even creatures as powerful as dragons could manifest their phyzical bodys in to metaphysical ones)

Ah, Brysing, but myths are so much more! They shape our entire culture, our philosophies, our day to day lives! Even the names of the days of our week is steeped in myth! How many days to our week, myth! Our seasons, myth! Our year 2014 would not be if not for the belief in myth. There is no escaping it. Symbolism, spirituality, religion, is so imbedded in our very genes that it spills over into everything. All of these are things that did not exist until we made them exist. These are ideas we created and formed and now they mold our very existence! So yes, myth is indeed very powerful and far from imaginary, because when one man creates myth and it carries on to the ears of others, it manifests as they react to what they have heard.

And then there is always the saying that every story has a little bit of truth in it. We must consider that our ancestors, although intelligent, were not as analytical as we are. They did not feel the need for consistency. A tavern tale was a better tale when embellished for added excitement. Even the stories of myth could very well have been great men and women who's legends became larger than life after telling and retelling over hundreds and thousands of years. We all know that oral tradition was carried out long before anything was ever written down. How it changed after so many years, no one knows.

Yes,WhiteRaven, I agree with what you say about certain myths becoming part of our culture. It does not alter my own belief that vampires, werewolves, mermaids, etc, do not exist!

You may believe anything you wish; but a belief does not make it true.

Yes a lot of mythical creatures including the ones you are asking about are real, they are just in other realms, they aren't on this physical plane.

Yes, they do exist, just not on this physical plane.
There are spells that open a gate, summoning the mythical creatures, and there are also spells that release your inner ____
, which lets you become a creature. But these spells don't work for everything.

For the above post, you can not become a mythical creature, believing is a powerful tool, in which can consume you if you believe you are a creature; example: You believe you are a werewolf for a long period of time, your body will start believing in it (you will not transform), in which will cause your mind to believe in it, you will start feeling like you are becoming this mythical creature, but in all actuallity you are just imaginating it.

Mythical to an extent. There's a hint of truth to every myth. Let's address each one individually.

For werewolves, there are individuals who have actually deluded themselves to believe they are lycanthropes. It's a mental disease.

The closest thing you'll find to dragons in history are dinosaurs.

Mermaids are what men at sea imagined when looking at a sea creature after long periods of time away from their home and wives.

There have been and still are many vampire cults. Individuals have been known to have sever skin disease which causes their skin to burn at exposure to strong light. Though the closest encounter you'll have to an actual vampire is a mosquito.

As for these mythical creatures existing in all their glorified forms in other "astral" worlds, that depends on your individual beliefs.
