No new covens can be created, as I read, Petrarca (Admin) took the feature off, because for the reason that there is many covens already on this site, so he took it so there wont be a coven overflow, there are inactive covens which you can take over when you have been on this site for at least 3 months.

Who are the inactive covens?

Inactive covens are covens that have no priest or priestess, or the priest and priestess have not been on in a long time.

you can apply to run an inactive coven, though your account needs to be at least 3 months old. it will take some time though since it gets reviewed and your reputation on the site will play a factor. also, if you do become a leader, you can't change the coven. if you become the priest of a coven that specializes in herbalism, you can't suddenly change it to be a coven that teaches curses of example.

there are many covens, i suggest you look into each one, read their bio, perhaps speak with the leaders or council members about the coven, and if you find one you like, apply.

how long does it take though I've been waiting almost six months

In order to apply for a coven it takes the minimum of 3 months for that. Then you may "Apply". You may do so by going onto the "Groups" tab and going down to the Inactive covens, they will say "Apply" to "Covens name". Click "apply" on the coven you want to apply to take over.

"Applying" for a coven isn't 100% guarenteed to give you that coven. Petrarca chooses the new priest or priestess of the coven. He watches and sees you posts and see if your responsibile enough, mature enough, and knowledgeable in that subject.

If he doesn't see you have any of these, he doesn't choose you.
