Linda,

Where's the like button for that?

Elements can be influenced, but not manipulated. You may be able to ask to increase or decrease what was already coming, but have some common sense, people. Given the number of witches attempting to manipulate the weather, we'd have snow, torrential rain, brilliant sun, and all the other stages of weather colliding against each other, in places they do not belong, just because that witch decided it was a good idea.

Coincidence or not, this happened. My friend and I were on our way home from shopping. It was raining, had been most of the day. She is very Christian, but that's besides the point. I asked if the rain could stop long enough for her to go down to the stream and talk with God. When we parked, the rain stopped. We climbed down the hill to the stream and she did a silent prayer while I was communing with Mother Earth. As soon as we got back in the truck, the rain came down. Now to me, I asked, and the answer was yes. This is not the first time this has happened. I did this again in the presence of another witness. Again the answer was yes. So the rain took a break when I asked, twice. Just thought I'd share. Blessed Be...

Tombstone,

That was an excellent illustration of my point. You asked for something. You didn't demand it, you didn't make it happen. You asked for something, politely and respectfully, and that request was granted. I've done similar things, calling up breeze on a hot day, etc, but it's never a display of power, it's a respectful request for something.

Great story :)

i do not believe you are alone in this. I too a few months ago started a storm from perfect weather, the news or weatherman never saw it. I still cannot quite explain it myself.
I believe that if one has enough power and energy in their mind, and the belief in the spell, almost anything is possible. Then again, that is just my views.

In real magic, you can only do things to yourself and the people around you. Not nature, you can help with nature as little things like make the grass grow and small things like that, not a whole storm

I believe that one can ask God and Goddess to change the weather and if they agree then they will change it.

Example:
I went to the mall one night after work and it was raining really hard. I personaly really hate being out side at night while its raining. Don't get me wrong, I love the rain and like being out side in the dark, but I dont like it when they are both mixed like that. Well I was sitting in my car on the parking lot and the rain would not stop. I closed my eyes and started to pray to God, since He is the sky he governs and controls anything from above us. I prayed and asked to please calm the rain so that I may safely enter. He listened and the rain started to calm down until it was just a drizzle. I thanked Him and went inside the mall.

I guess it also has to do with the reason why your asking to make a change in the weather. I had gone to the mall because I had heard that they sold Gari there. Ghana Gari is dried up yucca or cassava. You add milk to it and it expands and fills you up with so little. (It's food)

Speaking of influencing the weather, I met someone who claimed they had the power to do such. Though I could hardly believe it...

These things happen upon request, its hard to manipulate these things with our own energy

Yeah I have to say as well, you didn't make it rain, it was probaly already going to. We might be able to tweak whats in store for us already, but with alot more than just a thought. You just can't control mother nature. As already stated if we had control over the wether, there would be snow and rain in africa, 80 dagree days in Alaska, the world would be a mess. Our own bodies actually know when the wether is changeing or going to. Like when animals freak out before a really bad storm. some of us are just alittle more aware of those changes. So don't panic, it wasn't all your fault.;)
