Yes. The logical and realistic ones do work. I won't sit and type out a list of them, because that would take quite a long time. I would wholly avoid the fantasy section, however.
But my own advice is to write your own spells, as I seem to think these are more meaningful and powerful to the person who wrote them, and as long as you are realistic in your expectations I should think they would work fine.
You want to know how to easily identify spells that seem logical, read some reccomended books that contain spells within them. This will help you seperate spells that are possible ad spells that are just fluffy poetry.
With the exception of anything that claims to magically instantly change your body (whether its your eye color or its supposed to make you a vampire or something) I believe any spell can work as long as all the associations and words agree and aren't confused. It just takes a little knowledge and belief in yourself and your power. The ones I've seen here so far seem sound and a few I've read in other places or very similar ones.
