MAgic through religion

I was wondering in a moment of my "inducted" inspiration, that i could see why religion and religious like rituals (with same concepts maybe, but not referred as a religion? idk) are a means, a way to weild let's say or better to say to channel energy (spiritual if there is such thing?) and add some will to make it happen?
It's just a lamens inquiry xD
But yeah

Like a rain dance or something that request god/gods help for an event to happen or that it will actually work.
Trippy stuff like that

Well yes, alot of religions do use magick even if they dont call it that. Magick (someone please correct me if I am wrong)is maniplulating energy to creat change in the world. Alot of religios rituals do genorate energy which is then sent out into the world. Also simply praying can be a form of magick.
