I don't know if it could be feasible, but I think it might help deter some of the spammers unloading a dumptruck worth of posts all at once if there were a cool-down implemented in the forums, like X posts per Y time then have to wait a few minutes or similar -- even like two minutes. A lack of ability to post could turn some bots away, and perhaps constant attempt to still post during the cool-down would simply elongate the duration of the cooling off period. It could also help save some bandwitch (ha!) OK, bandwidth ... when an enthusiastic poster also has a lot to say.

I think one specific quality-of-life change needed is a way to report spam posts within spell and article discussions- similarly to how one can tag individual forum posts as spam.

I have noticed a sudden uptick on bot-bombs showing up within those places, and it would be a time-saver for mods as it would save them having to go through all the thousands of spells and articles cleaning them out whenever this happens.

Maybe we could get a rank in the system called ‘inactive’ which you get when you haven’t been online for a significant amount of time.

Do you plan to update the websites we can link in our bio? It still has MySpace [nothing wrong with MySpace, but it's not as popular as it once was] and people have things like TikTok, Pinterest and Instagram now. [and not everyone has all of those] so maybe several "website" links so they can pick and choose [but at least updating the socials]

I'd also suggest user's history be updated to include spell and article responses similar to forums.

No urgency or anything, I was just playing around on my profile and noticed those things ^_^

An +18 portion of the site to discuss more mature practices openly would be nice.

Merry Meet,

While I agree there should be an 18+ section for certain topics of discussion in the craft, how would we insure only adults were in the section? People can lie when you are asked to enter your date of birth or click a "yes" button. There could be a paywall, like a one time purchase, but that too can be abused. The best option would be requesting government issued ID for verification, but even that has its issues.

Blessed Be

If people lie, the site can still work that into their terms of use to protect themselves. Many NSFW forums and sites do not require proof of age, and I personally will never upload any document or card online, many peopleare still of that opinion as well.

Another option within these parameters could include reducing the number of covens since many are inactive, and redesignatingthe remainder as practice/path specific covens. While there is a Teen Witches group, it would be nice if there was a group tailored specifically towards adults.

I'm not sure if this has been suggested yet, but implementing a notification system for forum/comment replies would be a helpful quality-of-life feature. Not everyone is going to be monitoring the spells and articles they commented on for replies, and creating something like this, perhaps through mail function that the site already has, would be helpful. That would require a degree of automation though, so maybe creating a bot account that handles this could be considered.
