willing to listen?

Hello everybody,i don't want to bother you too long.I just have a question that i cant seem to find the answer for.Im not a person who asks alot usually,i like solitude.Thats the problem..I can't find any.I hate being around people, and loud things, usually brought on by people.I cant even go into town,a simple thing like getting bread sends me crazy me.The one thing that calms me down is emptyness, solitude a place where nobody is.But lately people are everywhere, allways in my face,Its getting to me as i cannot study anymore,Im so stressed and i freak out really fast..I screamed and threw the telephone as is rung next to me,in a office area.I also punch something or take a annoyed deep breath as anything else goes off, telephones mostly, even the comunicators at my work.I am really broken down lately, and i have tried everything.meditating, going to the library, its so loud there, and even sleeping pills,i even sleep for easily 9-10 hours, but the next morning im in exactly the same state.I had vacation a few weeks ago,and everything was good for a few weeks,2 to be exact. Please anybody...any idea,i would appreciate so much. All i want is solitude, quiet. How can it be so much to ask,Im starting to question my insanity as i feel like im going to go crazy.

Have you tried making your own "sacred space" in your mind that you can go to when your stressed? It sounds cheesy but works wonders. I have dealt with similar issues and that is the only thing that helps me. Love, light and blessings :)

Well I suggest for you to go home, lay down in the most central or quietest place in your home, and just think. Think about why it frustraits you, exactly why you are so upset, what could you do to calm down (stress ball or pillow or something), then think about why you like to be alone so much and why you hate people so much. Think hard and deeply. Meditate if it helps. Then fall asleep and think more. When you wake up you should feel better.

Look up social anxiety disorder. Its quite common and usually doesn't need counseling or therapy.

It isn't that difficult of a problem to conquer. Its one of the few problems I do suggest going to your doctor for. My husband developed it due to military service. Our family doctor prescribed him a low dose of an anti-anxiety medication and had him take it for three months, then had him wean off of it. It began making a big difference after the first week and his progress continued after he stopped. Along with meditation and looking inward to overcome his fears he overcame the problem. (It took him 3 years to completely conquer it) but he is free of it and is actually extremely social now. There are also self-help books and free anxiety hotlines.

You're experiencing panic attacks. They can cause mood swings and outbursts randomly when you experience them chronicly. If not put in check, this can turn into agoraphobia which is far more difficult to overcome. So its best to nip it now before it turns into that.

i usually don't like taking medication, but i fear i have veryfew alternatives.I meditate alot lately,i switch of all my electronics and light, but i can always hear the noises, the neigbours watching tv,why do they need to put it so loud? I don't even switch the tv or the radio on anymore, any few seconds of queit i get i treasure.Isn't it possible to get over the counter anxiety medication before i have to go to a doctor?

This young man writes, in his profile, that he "likes smart people", likes "a fair amount of fun", and likes "open minded people". Then he says he will be moving to New York city. One of the noisiest cities on Earth.
What, exactly, is this young man's problem? Genuine? Or faking?

Oh,I wasn't being mean to you, lad! I was curious. Sometimes people post on this site because they just want something to say,or want attention. You say you like "smart" people, meaning intelligent. I find that intelligent people talk most! Really quiet people usually have nothing to say.
If you do have a problem with noise, ear plugs are pretty good, and mostly cheap.

i feel those that are the real intelligent people, are the ones that have nothing to say. They don't care if somebody sees their view on things.I see intelligent people as those that know better but don't go on about it on tv or so.Imagine the typical librarian, the quiet yet they usually have some knowledge.Earplugs won't work,im in a position where im relied on alot,if i weren't to comunicate i could lose my job, then id have to drop out of college.I have started breathing exercises, where i get a certain amount of time a day just for my self,in which i just relax and breathe, almost like meditation
