From what everyone always says I think you should learn the basics first and then figure out where to go from there.
Blessed be.(:

First learn the basics such as grounding, meditation etc.
After that it is hard to tell what spells will be easiest for you because it depends, but generally try ones that are for simple things like instead of full on healing, just make you forget the pain is there, or quick spells with a candle which mostly last for about a day anyway so it isn't too harmful if you mess it up.
Good luck.

Meditation and grounding are good things to practice, but are not needed for actual casting. Meditation itself helps with awarness, calming your mind and focus. Grounding is meant for balancing your energy (getting rid of excess) after casting or any time you feel "off". They are good to learn before but it is not truly necessary ;)

Make a Book Of Shadows.

Okay before people start throwing knives and athames at me, I will start being serious.

When I met my teacher, he would tell me that luck spells are easy to do. And I think, he was right. Because all of my luck spells would work. But I don't think that this means this is for everyone. Luck was really needed in my life, maybe thats why I was able to cast it quickly.

When I started wicca, I hated tools aswell. Hard to find and such (I had a lot of problems with candles) But believe me, when I got my hand on some, feeling was amazing.

Anyway to answer your question, I think you should do a spell that you would really want so your heart would be in your spell and that would enpower it. (I hope I said it right..) Meditate, ask yourself. What do I want?

But I was kinda serious about keeping a Book of Shadows. I am making one and it makes me feel great. Also it would help you in your way of craft.

Blessed be ^_^

Book of Shadows, Grimoire, Spellbook, it goes by a bunch of names. Its kind of like your personal book that you fill with magickal knowledge. You would put spells, correspondences, rituals, techniques, experiences and any other thing you can think of that relates to magick.

The Book of Shadows is one of the most prized possessions of every practissioner, appart from their mind.

You can write it out however you want it to be. It can be a guide, a log, a diary, a spellbook, anything that you wish it to be. If it is a Grimoire then it would be a guide. You would explain in detail about how things are done, what you should do, how and when to meditate i.e. every aspect of magic. If it is a Spellbook, that is self explanatory, it will contain spells mainly.

You can make it in any way you feel will help you the most.

Some wish spells are very easy and all of mine have been successful.

Simple Wish Spell

Take a piece of paper. Draw a pentacle the size of the piece of paper. Inside write whatever you wish to come true, then burn it and concentrate on your wishes. Naturally you're not going to create miracles but it helps situations and helps you be happy.

This is one of the sites that i use that is very helpful http://www.everythingunderthemoon.net/index.html
