Meditation is easy just sit down in either lotus or half lotus and put your hands in a natural position and close your eyes and empty your mind of all thoughts and u are meditating!! do this every day for 10 - 30 minutes (no harm in going over that time)

Mantras help. Try repeating a word over and over again. Something like "peace" or find one that suits you (there are many). Allow thoughts to come, but don't dwell on them. Acknowlege them and then let them go. You can also choose to play relaxing music and concentrate on the sound of it. Let your mind hang on the notes and tones. There isn't a "set" way to meditate. The main idea is to just relax and let go. Let your mind go blank and enjoy the peace of it.
