Oh and with this one I don't need long lasting results xD I just need to make up and I can be a better friend so we don't get into this situation next time. Lesson learned the hard way xD
Whether a spell works or not all depends on the talent of the magickal practioner. Some witches only need to think something to make it happen. So I have no right to say if it will work or not.
We work on our will and focus in order to have optimal control over what we do. Ritual and formated spells lend us physical ways to focus our minds because we are tangible beings using ethereal energy. Our own unique written spells and rituals relate to our thought processes and emotions on a personal level, connecting deeper to our conscious and subconscious. It allows us to physically see our work in progress and interpret what is happening on a spiritual level, which allows us to truly believe that something magickal is taking place. But the mind alone is a powerful force and the only absolutely necessary thing. So optimism in any situation sets the path for the best results. You could spit on the ground or clap your hands, and if you believed with all your heart that this action created a specific magickal reaction and comprehended it's reasons for working a specific way, it would. Because on a conscious and subconscious level, our energy would work through it and manifest the goal. (Assuming of course that you already were a successful magickal practicioner and could project energy through thought and emotion)
But its best to have absolutely no doubt in yourself when casting a spell. You should KNOW it will work. Faith in your magickal workings is a vital thing. You must desire it, know it, believe it, will it, and walk away confidant that it will occur. That is the true power behind magick. Every successful magickal practioner is confidant in their craft.
Anyways, if the spell doesn't work so quickly as I asked, will it work in a longer time period, or I have to write another one since this one asked for quick results
What do you think? What do you feel? It was your spell therefore it would work according to your thoughts at the time of casting. Even if you didn't specifically think about it, you should have an idea already. Use your instincts and intuition. It is your magick, you will have a natural connection to it, you created it! And you should be capable of sensing it. Since you have a piece of the spell in your wardrobe, use it as a guide. If the energy of it appears to die down or deaden, then it is no longer working. But if it continues to appears buzzing with energy, the spell is still in effect.
I would say that you could try another spell to resolve the situation by taking a different direction that compliments the first. So for instance you performed a "sweetening" spell, you can use the bundle you have from this spell incorporate into a spell to a produce a change of heart or second chance. You've paved the way to soften their animosity but you ignored the fact that their minds may be firm in their decision to remain apart. When I perform a spell to influence a specific result from an individual, I write a spider graph to decide my main goal (in this case your goal is the reuniting of your friends) then I create offshoots to describe what factors are necessary, in most cases this is thoughts, emotion, empathy and sight.
Under thoughts, I will write what thoughts I wish to impress. In this case, the idea of giving you a second chance. Now how would I go about this? A second chance logically comes about through the recall of good memories and the nostalgia that ensues.
Under emotion, I will write the emotions I wish to promote or reduce. In this case you had anger reduced, and compassion promoted "sweetening". Now I know from "thoughts" that nostalgia, or the "desire" for what once was should be promoted through emotion.
Under empathy, I will write what energy would be most beneficial to trigger empathic reaction from the person. In this case, I would pull the past feelings of good times together, again, nostalgia. In empathic work, I would include an object in the ritual that I could wear that would strengthen the empathic pickup of this when I was around these people.
Under sight, I will write how I want the person to see me. In this case, I would force through the image that I held in their eyes during the peak of our friendship. Through bad experience, our views of people change for the worst, so we want to remove that "taint" as much as possible. I would also add this part of the spell onto the same object.
After I have my spider graph, I write another spider graph (I like spider graphs!) I would write my main points. Now I would branch off as to how I wish to represent each through, chant, ritual and/or ingredient.
Once I have these, I put them in the most logical order and smooth out any rough edges of the spell/ritual so that it flows. I also add an opener and closer that calls and dismisses spiritual aid and seals my spell such as "it will be", "so mote it be" "it shall be" etc
P.S-
The object must be sealed afterward, or the energy will weaken over time. Practice charging and sealing gemstones. You can use a gemstone or crystal as the object. You may also repeat whatever chant/words you used in the new ritual with the same candle relit to "revamp" the spell.
You MUST communicate and interact, or be near these people. You CANNOT expect them to randomly walk up to you and act as if nothing happened. Any relationship needs communication and interaction. Any mistake needs a sincere apology. Magick alone cannot force someone to act as a puppet to your will. In this case it coaxes gently, by prodding at emotions and thoughts already within the person (at some point in time) and you do the rest of the work.
I showed you the way I write my magick, to give you an idea as to how to write your own. When writing your own magick, you must plan what it's going to accomplish, how it will reach that goal, and how this action/reaction should be made in the magickal working. You cannot play with the world around you like a puppet show. That isn't what magick is about. Imagination is key, but so is the natural laws of the world. What makes us tick, what makes energy work, what makes the world turn. These are all important! It's understanding how the world works, and working with it's natural ways that allow us to make change. Just having a goal and willing it to be will leave quite a lot of room for error and backfire. But having a goal, knowing what needs to be done through energy to achieve it and using your will to achieve it...that makes a huge difference.
I understand that you've only been in magick for a year, but this is not only about magick. Its about life, people, the mind, the emotions. These are things you've lived your whole life around. And if you don't know about them, then its time to begin to truly see and learn. Magick is more than just energy manipulation manifesting into physical change--it is about life! The most wise magickal practioner is also a wise philosopher.
Your last "spell" was a ritual. Rituals are actions performed physically to create magickal results, usually within a magick circle with certain "set" or predetermined actions. Rituals are spells but spells are not always rituals. Ritualistic spells are ones with step by step procedures (whether written or intuitively practiced) while spells that lack ritual are usually quick, do not necessarily need a circle or alter, and can be comprised of words and/or simple action.
I edited this spell with my own thoughts as being an experienced practiconer, I just moved things and reworded it to create a more harmonious effect, so that the desire and energy is more consistent.

I hope this revision helps and remember spells don't have to rhyme but if you prefer it so, that is perfectly fine too.
