Moonyy you believe that there is only one god. I assume that to you this god is "the powers at be" or "all of the universal knowledge in one collective form". This god would have no gender, no physical form, and can be hard to comprehend. This is a hard thing for many to picture and if you can then good for you. For many though they believe that naming parts or aspects of the collective makes sense and is easier to grasp. If you only need part of the whole why bother the entire entity. It is like being in school. If you need help in biology class you would ask the biology teacher for help. You would not bother asking an English teacher, a lunch lady, a Spanish teacher, the principal, an Art teacher, a custodian, and a Music teacher to all help you with Biology.
i believe that there is one God. you can all follow your own beliefs and i will follow mine. i dont criticize tohers beliefs and i ask that everyone would be kind enough not to criticize mine. thanks :) as there is nothing you can say or do that will make me change my beliefs. thats for everyone.
I feel that our "god" is a concept of concern and expiditious actions. That perhaps our "god" is not a person, or even an entity, but maybe it's just an idea. The human race came from something, and since we have no way to prove exactly what our "god" is, then maybe our god is meant to remain anonymous, and appreciated in everyone's own, special way.
Like Kts said, giving it names, aspects, personality, it's perhaps just our own special ways to appreciating what really is out there if anything.
Then maybe our god is just life itself, nothing almighty spirit, but maybe just things happened on their own, and that's what we "worship".
Personally I can't say for sure what my favorite of the personified gods there is, but I'd probably go with Durga, the Mother.
