Hey there duckies :D

I though that I would make a post on Tarot/Oracle cards in spellwork. This is something that I myself have been working on for the last while. While many people recognise that the cards can be used as a means of divination, by reading the cards and interpreting their symbolism; not everyone uses that same symbolism as a method of directing spells. The tricky part is that you must already be familiar with the cards, and understand the symbolism behind them. Otherwise they will mean little to you, and consequently be of no use. In addition, the cards may mean different things to different people, so use whatever cards seem appropriate to you.

This will probably be explained best through example.

Say I wanted to attract a new love interest. I would pick several cards that are suited to that purpose i.e. the ace of cups for the very essence of new emotion, the lovers for the discovery of your soulmate (your other self), perhaps the nine of cups just for good luck as it is the ‘wish’ card that signifies emotional fulfilment in every way. You may wish to use a specific number of cards, if you ascribe significance to numbers in that manner. Lay out the cards in a pattern that seems right to you, or just in a row if nothing seems particularly fitting. You should then focus on each card individually, and what it means to you and what you hope it will achieve for you; and then concentrate on the card spread as a whole, and the final outcome, the fruits of your efforts, and direct energy towards it in a manner that you are comfortable with. If you desire, you may include a verbal incantation, or other components such as coloured candles suited to your purpose etc. The point is, that tarot and oracle cards offer powerful representations and symbolism, and it can be useful to use them to engineer outcomes, instead of merely predicting them.

Thanks for reading this, hope it helps you :D

I wanted to get my own cards too, but I was going to make them myself, I like to draw, so, ya.

I have a question though. It sounds like you are putting the cards there and choosing them yourself, like specifically putting the queen of aces there. I thought it was annonimous, like cards face down until you read them.

You do have the cards face down. Luis was using that as an example to help explain things better. :-)

Thank you for posting this Luis very well done.

Umm maybe I wasn't clear. The purpose of this is to tell you how to use Tarot cards as components in spellwork. It's not the same as using them for divination where you would have the cards face down. In order to get the spell to do what you want, you take cards from the deck and place them face up in a pattern etc.

Lol, I'm a ducky xD. I like this post, it's true that what means something to me doesn't mean the same to others especially in cards.
