I've always been a strong believer in my craft and in the power we have i always try to do my best to help when i can, in the past i had some amazing results from spells and potions that i done for family and friends but recently i had a emotional break down due to seeing my abuser and my heads been all over the place and ive recently been trying to get my inner house in order but am losing faith in myself and my craft i guess im wondering does anyone ever doubt magic? its not that i dont believe i do but sometimes i can be having the worst day of my life and cast just a simple circle and feel better and that always worked but now thats not even helping has anyone got any advice that could help. I have a friend who come to me a few weeks ago and ask me to stop feeling sorry myself and get a grip basically and no what i thought i was until i started doubting my craft as every time i try something to help me and change my life it does not seem to work i guess im just looking for help where ever i can if anyone has anything from a simple meditation to a hard spell I'm willing to try it! XxX blessed be

For things to work you need to believe in yourself and what you are doing. If you are doubting it, it will not work. try restarting with your basics again and slowly try to build back up to where you where. It might help better than trying to keep going from where you left of. Once you have confidence in yourself and magick again i am sure it will all fall back into place.
I hope that helps. Everyone has set backs now and again.

Oh, yes, we all doubt at times! The advice to go back to basics is good advice. Concentrate on feeling well. Visualise yourself gaining in confidence. Try to forget your problems by helping others. There is always somebody in need, some elderly person living alone who may need help with a little shopping, etc. Helping others is excellent for boosting your confidence and feeling of "self worth".

Like the others said, doubt is pretty natural. It's even a good thing, to some extent, and provides the balance to faith.

Without doubt you'd be just another nutter on the forums shouting about unbelievable power. ^_^
