It seems to me that there are many unhappy people on this site. Many who worry, often needlessly. Worry causes stress, and stress is very harmful to the spirit. Lots of people do not really know what stress is! One has to remember that we are animals, no different from other animals, especially primates. And we are "programmed" with basic instincts, one of which is to produce adrenalin during a threat. Adrenalin is enormously powerful! It gives us the power for "Fight or flight"; to stand and face the threat, or to run away from it. But there lies the problem. In a modern society we often feel threatened, and we can neither stand and fight, nor run away! And so the adrenalin doesn't "drain" properly; it stays in the blood; and that is "stress".
It can be beaten! Be cheerful. Try not to worry. As Max Erman said,"Strive to be happy."
