This girl lies broken
With words unspoken
Hiding behind her mask
Every time she falls
She only tries harder
But she cannot move forward
How long will it be until she never gets up
How long until she stops trying
Her smile never falters
But for every misstep she takes
And every mistake she makes
She falls backwards
If you really want to know this girl
Look not to the battles she fights
But to the words she writes
Because every battle she chooses,
She loses
She’s losing her light
But still she fights
The battle shall never be won
At least not by her
They only get harder
And slowly drown out her reason
Now she stands at a crossroad
It seems as though she had followed him
