The user that his deleted his account (user xxxx) is correct, there are many factors that can make it hard to focus during meditation. Main reason negative energy, if your house is cluttered then you find many negative energy pockets conflicting with the energy you want to project.

What is the solution?

well just as a precaution that you your self have any negative energy what you can do is bathe with a bit of salt, Vervain, rosemary and dill in your bath water.

To cleanse your house or room you can burn dried sage ( i prefer white sage) and cedar, but the two can be used separately. If the first technique is difficult to attain you can try this one, just move the sage around your aura to cleanse it.

of any of these methods are unreachable to you, then simply bathe with a little salt in water. but you will need something to cleanse the area.

You can cleanse space with sound if you can not use an item that requires flame. A singing bowl, a bell, a drum, etc. can cleanse the space with repeated vibrations. You can use one note or several to cleanse the space. Walk in a counter clockwise motion as you repeat the sound. You can also use the lower/lesser banishing ritual of the pentagram.

Again to add to kts, you can even create the vibrations by humming aloud. There is a reason why many use the word AUM while meditating. But just saying AUM aint gonna help. You need to take a deep breath and say AUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM for as long as you can hold your breath (just dont faint in the process). You need to know when to stop and start again. I do this a couple of times before meditating.

There are many ways to meditate... try white light meditation after grounding and centering. It's easier. Try it for just 5 minutes to begin with. You cant become Buddha in just one sitting, now can you :-). If something distracts you, dont get fried and frustrated. Chill out, take it easy and try again on the following day. If white light meditation is too tough, then get some meditation music, usually with sounds of nature, plug your ears and just shut your eyes, while the music transports you to your very own happy place. Small baby steps is all it takes

If you are practising the craft or are into spiritualism, meditation is extremely important for end number of reasons. From the little that I know, magic uses forces of nature but the magician directs these forces form his/her mind. And the mind can be one hell of a chaotic place with millions of thoughts, driven by the environment and your emotions. You need to streamline those thoughts for your magic to be effective. If your thoughts arent sorted, your magic can backfire pretty badly. Simple....one of your posts on another thread said that you've been freaking out after performing spells...That's probably because you arent meditating. Meditation is the only way that I can think of to clear the turbulence inside and outside. Dont be scared of meditation :-) It wont spring up any unwanted surprises at you. Practise it more than you practise your spells. It will come to rescue when you least expect it. someone told me that the most powerful spells are cast when your mind is in a partial state of meditation. Think about this before you rush to the spell section of this website to cast a spell. Good luck
