Shakespear use the "N" word in one of his plays.. hahahaha.. Anyways, I live in Detroit and the "N" word is use almost in every sentence when talking to some one else. I live in the Ghetto. ^_^ White, latinos, african americans, arabics, ah.. basically everybody use it. There is the exception of the word, you cannot refer to a person who is unknown to you like that. This word is use among acquaintances or friends... unless there is a misunderstanding and a fight will take place. The age is irrelevant as well, except if they already crossed their 60's then it matters... ^_^.

There are 2 different forms of the word. The one with ER is still not appreciated today by most people. It is still used as a word to put down.

The one with an A is a friendlier type of word most times. Vari is right, saying it to people you know is acceptable, saying it to someone you do not is an insult and will cause a lot of trouble. The A version can actually be used to describe a friend or someone you do not like...it's...odd like that.

Personally I hate the N word and I never use it. People around my area think its okay to use it and local people are trying to stop the word by giving people fines for using but it is still used the youth is saying that their is a differnce between the word Ni--er and nigga but if you ask me it is the same thing.

Its just a word, who cares. If your a racist your a racist, only they use such words. And no they shouldnt, but people shouldnt curse either and do a lot of other stuff.

I believe african american racist (yes, other races can be racist, its not just for whites obviously, blind hate is blind hate) would do the same if they even had a good enough word to call whites when theyre angry at one. Though if they wanted racism to die, why say the word all the time in all their songs and speech?
