Sit in a cross-legged position. Straighten your back but be slightly relaxed. Focus on your energy. Try to push all of the negativities out. Align your chakras and focus on your meridians and make sure that they are functioning properly. Clear your mind of all thoughts except the spell and the image of your energy in your body. Then say these words as needed. (I often repeat my chants or phrases three times to feel and mean it) :
"Lord keep my soul,
safe and sound.
If it is lost, let it be found.
Keep my mind, nice and straight,
do not let it stray away.
If my heart should lose control,
keep my eyes
upon the goal."
Light the candles, draw a pentagram on your body. now meditate, vision your self killing dark spirits. Now hold your hand on the pentagram and chant: This is a barrier of light, no evil spirit may pass this barrier of light, evil's eyes will burn at this barrier of light. Now blow out the black candles. Keep the white ones on and chant: Now i am safe, nothing can harm me, I will take a break from everday mayhem.
now u can blow out the white candles.
A spell for protection, the end result is a jar (depending on the size) filled with many charged stones.

Hold one of the stones in your projective hand (the hand you use to write with) visualize the stone emitting protective energies.
As you visualize, say these words:
Stone from the mountain,
stone from the well,
stone from the desert,
charge now my spell!
Place the stone in the pot, still strongly visualizing, and say:
Into the pot I place this stone,
to guard my hearth, my house, my home.
Repeat the entire procedure with each stone. This will take some time depending on the size of your jar.
When the jar is full, place it (uncovered) somewhere in your home, saying:

Carve the name of the child from the bottom to the top of the candle. As you carve the name, visualize the child being wrapped in the divine motherly or fatherly arms. Anoint the candle with the florida water: starting from the bottom and going to the top. Then say:

Cast a circle and meditate inside of it for awhile, until you feel calm and at peace with yourself.
Light a candle in the centre of the alter. Gaze into this and visualise the negative energy in your dreams being burnt.
Then say this:
''Goddess let my dreams be true.
Let them be filled with your love and light.
And let them last all through the night.
Through candles wax,
And incenses sweet.
I ask of three,
To let this be.''
Then let the candle burn out, after sit there for awhile and feel the negative energy being lifted from you. If you feel this it has worked. I must warn though, that this spell was created by me for a class, so may not be as effective as something you make yourself, but feel free to use it as a guide line for making your own similar spell/ritual.

As you place each item in the bag imagine the intent of the bag itself. When you are done, charge the bag with you own energy for protection. Now you may call upon any deity you prefer and ask them to bless the bag if you want. You can use your own prayer or the simple one bellow.

Now pour a small amount of water on the bag (you can use oils or whatever you want to use to anoint the bag). Do this for however many days your deity number is. Also leave and offering for them as well. Now I have written this as asking of Papa, You may change the amount of each herb you put in it as you see. Remember to charge the gris gris or pour water on it if you feel it is running low. This is how I make my gris gris. You can switch things around or not do something if it works better for you.
The main way of gathering energy is by grounding or meditating, but not everyone can do these easily (for example if you live in a city). So I have gathered what I can from friends, what I found myself and websites.

Paper Method:
Draw a black dot in a piece of paper, cup your hands around the dot leaving a small gap so that you can see it. Noe visualise the energy flowing from the dot into your hands.
Natural Energy:
Go out side and take in a few deep breaths, feel the energy around you flowing into your body as you breath in. Hold it for a second or two, then release it. As you are releasing it visualise the energy going down your body into your arms and legs. Repeat this a few times and it should work
Drain Method:
Hold out your strongest hand with your palm facing up and your weakest clenched into a fist. Visualise a ball of all your energy in your weaker hand, and then visualise all the energy around you being absorbed into your stronger hand, you should be able to feel this. After awhile you should see the ball of your energy getting brighter.

Stand in front of the place where the mess is or if it is a room, stand in the middle of it. Look all around you in one complete circle and notice everything that needs to be clean and what you would like for it to look like afterwards, then stop at the end of your one turn.
Look around the room once again slowly in a 360 degree circle and this time chant (with feeling of any kind and you could sing it, if you think it would help):
"The day is short as the day is long
The daily birds are singing their songs
Outside this place, everything is okay at best
But here right now, it is beyond a mess
I have no magickal fairy, or a cleaning maid
