And my power shall be______so please let this happen to me'' then drink the salt water and the side affects should happen in one hour you also must believe in mermaids so that is it!

You cannot become a mermaid.

No, you cannot. Physical transformation is not possible with Real Magic as it is ruled by nature and cannot defy it, ergo why this spell will fail. You can work with mermaids and some claim on other planes of existence you could become one, by it is impossible physically.
