I am not a great communicator. Here goes.
I have been dipping in and out of witchcraft for about 20 years now. I was raised to be deeply (strictly) religious and dumped it all and became atheist a quarter of a century ago. I have no training. I have no one to guide or mentor me. I have very little confidence in my abilities and I second guess everything. So, I guess this is me trying something new. I am reaching out for help and pointers, if that's not too much trouble. I have taken an interest in The Morrigan, especially due to her being the Goddess of Nightmares. I've had them since I was 5 years old and finally decided it was time to embrace them and see what I can glean from them. So far, not a lot of luck. Not sure what to do. Anyway, that's pretty much me in a nutshell.

Hello Glenna, welcome! I love your pfp, crows are beautiful. If you have no training or experience, it makes sense starting with the basics. Start making meditation a daily practice if it isn’t already and begin learning basic concepts in different magical or spiritual practices. If you’d like, you can DM me if you want additional help or sources, I’ll try my best!

Thank you for your response and kind offer.
I am very fond of all corvids and am fortunate to be surrounded by many varieties.
What sort of meditation do you recommend? My mind wanders terribly, darts about like a lightning bug.

I totally get that, my mind is always wandering as well. Try experimenting with different kinds of meditations to see what words best for you. I like listening to frequencies sometimes, makes the experience intense, other times I like doing guided meditations that focus on visualization. The goal of meditation in magic is to train your mind to stop wandering about and get it to focus on a singular thing. In this heightened state of consciousness and focus, you can more easily and effectively perform magic, it is absolutely essential. Don’t worry about getting things perfect or meditating for a long time, consistency is best, just keep practicing and you’ll begin to notice amazing results.
