Today, I noticed that live chat says "www.spellsofmagic.com refused to connect".

Chat hasn't been loading

Chat still does not load. I have tried using it in the past and recently. It works the same. Mainly, it does not. Messages will simply stop uploading.

The only other change I have noticed is the bombardment of ads to the point of satire. On top of the regular side bar ads, we have a huge banner ad at the top of nearly every page, a pop-up ad every second page, and ads that break up longer replies in the spells and articles section. I understand we need ad revenue for the site, but maybe improve the actual site, remove fluffy bunny nonsense, and update the site for modern witches who prefer cell phones. Reducing the number of fake spells alone would improve the sites reputation within the online Pagan Community which would increase traffic. I think it would be better than annoying the remaining members with an onslaught of ads. It also makes us appear like a scam site if we boast transform into a vampire and have a dozen sketchy ads on every page. Just a suggestion.

How odd. I haven't had any of these problems. But the horoscope still doesn't work. I use FireFox. Could it be what you are using?

I am using Chrome myself.

No problems using Safari

Images for spells/articles/profile pictures/moon phase/etc won't show, and neither will icons for social sharing.

There are probably some old DNS entries floating around, it may take a while for some data to refresh from old caches, but it seems like most things should be working if they were working before.

I have Google Adsense set to run experiments, which is causing it to place a lot more ads than normal, so that will probably still happen for a little while until it optimizes ad placement. I would expect the level of ads to drop in a little while after its done its optimizations
