Sensing and Dreaming

Good day

I would like to know if there can be a connection between sensing/feeling seeing spirits and dreaming about them.

Reason why is that I am very sensitive to "other world" energy. The thing is that our place is very well protected as both me and my other half practice although we don't follow the same path. My other half is more on the Healing, Breaking Curses/Hexes and Demonology where as I am more Herbs/Colors/Animals. So our place is so to say double protected.

Basically the story goes as follows. We live in gated townhouse area and for the passed with month the complex had a lot of move in and moves out. Well also having issue with a unknown neighbor cat that keeps coming into our house and picking fight with our cat. And then I keep have a dream where a Male shadow figure is haunting the staircases outside.

Does this mean anything, are there any connections/Links or I am just reading into to much that there is more then it actually is.

Thanks

I believe that if a dream is repetitive, it sure conveys a hidden struggle or situation and your mind is not just running wild. For sure you are sensing something.

From my perspective, you have 2 choices which are as follows: 1. Banish the spirit and get rid. This way everything should stop. 2. Communicate with the spirit and see if there is anything you can do to help or support a passing on that behalf. This would be the better option, I believe. However, if the haunting is not just an unfortunate situation and there is something malicious about it, communicating with the spirit can result in long lasting harm and fear to yourself. So it can be quite risky. Then again, if you banish a spirit but your banishment spell is not strong enough, that can just as well annoy the spirit who has been there maybe long before you did, so you would be seen as an intruder and it can even result in ending up under spectral attack.

For one, being more of a coward myself and trying to avoid any kind of bad situation, I would personally just banish the spirit using a very powerful ritual, after which I would surround my house in salt and hang garlic everywhere, use fumes such as sage or Palo Santo on a constant matter until I would feel the threat would be gone.

It's commonly believed that spirits are able to make contact with the living during waking hours and when a living person falls asleep. That being said, there has never been concrete scientific proof that either proves or disproves it. Instead, I believe it comes down to what each individual believes to be true.

While I am not saying yes or no to the things you mentioned in your post being caused by spirits, I can think of a few rational non-paranormal causes for it.

For example, cats are extremely territorial, so if the visiting cat feels that your townhouse is a part of its territory, it may keep trying to challenge your cat in order to reclaim the space. It's up to you and your partner to keep the unknown cat from entering your space and continuing to do so! If it's feral, maybe you should consider having an animal control organization in your area come and remove it.

With the craziness of the pandemic still going on, I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there's higher than normal turnover like you've mentioned happening, especially in communities where the cost of remaining in the home has been raised. More and more families may be seeking and finding less expensive homes to live in.

If you continue to encounter the shadow person in your dreams, maybe you should try to communicate with it. There may be an explanation of why it's choosing to haunt that particular location, and a solution may present itself to help it move on. If it doesn't want to communicate with you and it's not causing you any harm (beyond a feeling of fright or alarm because theres a shadow person inhabiting your stairwell lol), I really don't see the necessity of trying to banish it. It may have a perfectly legitimate reason to be there, and might leave when it's ready to.
