I was wondering if anyone works with Hecate that could answer a few questions. I was wondering if she calls upon witches or the other way around. I've had a couple of weird things happen lately that make me wonder if she is trying to get my attention.
Hecate does not call all witches, but in saying so spirits often call out to people. These reasons may be as simple as they have similar themes in their life or may be able to learn a thing or two from the spirit that is calling them. People can chose to work with different spirits, but most of the time the spirits are the one to pick you for whatever reason. I feel it may be more to do with teaching you to help you grow as a person.
You can sit down and mediate on it and ask yourself what does Hecate wishes to teach you. It may be a little bit difficult if you are new to the craft forming some sort of block between the pair. Don't try to force this relationship though. If she does not answer through the use of signs just trust the answer will occur. To answer your question though yes, spirits do pick people and try to gain their attention.
