The word "magick" was first used by Aleister Crowley to differentiate stage magic from the sorts of magic we do here. Most of us find the usage a bit pretentious and unnecessary and just use "magic" to describe what it is we do.

A wand can be used in either stage magic or real magic, so you would have to define what you mean by "wand magic" if the rest of your statement isn't clear. In real magic the wand is merely a tool by which the practitioner gathers and directs energy toward their goal.

While witches use wands to direct energy [aka magick] it isn't like in Harry Potter where sparks fly out and people fly through the air or transform. Wands are traditionally wood but can be anything. I've seen metal wands, wands with crystals, even a wand made of bone. [I knew someone who used a toothbrush and another used a toy Harry Potter wand] you can also use your finger and get the same result [I've been Pagan for 15 years and have never used a wand. I use my athame or finger to direct energy]

No there is no wand magic like in Harry Potter.

As a general rule, assume that if it is in a Hollywoiod movie or a fantasy novel it is not real magic. It would be fun if it were, but alas it is not.
